Okay so writing fan fiction is harder than it should be really. Im not enjoying this. Why cant I write dialogue? Or scenes? Or plan? This sucks. Booooooooooo. Booooooo to the fact I have to relearn how to writeeeeeeee.

In more detail I have an Irumeri fic planned that im trying to write but my current draft is just so BAD I don't even know if I want to try rewriting it. I've always been told to always try and never give up but seriously I used to be so good at writing and now I cant even write Ameri walking down a corridor. I can keep trying though but please dont expect me to actually be able to finish this

Random idea but like, what if the Netherworld was literally a Netherworld. Since "nether" means under that means it's the under world. So it could be literally under the earth, which would also mean the sky is fake. That would be a cool story line, plus, have we ever seen the sun? I don't recall any moment where the sun actually appears, there's a day night cycle, but no sun? The moons are almost always full. At the beach the "sun" was floating fireballs. So could the sky be fake?

Watching the ep where they introduce the concept of friends to the misfits class and I have thoughts.

Idk why this didn't occur to me earlier bc i did read the manga, but it actually does make more sense for shinyuu to be translated as best friends over soulmates. Especially considering the way iruma explained it to everyone and their reactions. Best friends really is just friends but closer, whereas soulmates is completely different from best friends (ofc your best friends can be your soulmates). Best friends is a relationship that is often assumed to be inherently platonic within itself. Obviously you can hold that platonic relationship alongside a romantic relationship for the same person, but the best friend title is generally interpreted as platonic. Meanwhile, soulmate is a much broader term, despite it being often interpreted as romantic. Soulmate generally implies someone(s) who is destined for you, regardless of what kind of relation it is (platonic, romantic, queerplatonic, secret third thing). However, it is usually used for romance. And demons do in fact seem to have a concept of romance considering what we've seen so far. Referring to Pursons comment and the others' support of it, i don't think they would have acted like that if they had heard possibly romantic implications. As well as the fact that it was compared to being friends, two different kinds of relationships versus different levels of a similar kind of relationship. As much as it breaks my heart to say this, best friend is a much more accurate translation of shinyuu than soulmate. I will forever be a love trio soulmate truther though. Maybe we can get another scene where they confirm it with a different word that's closer to soulmates and better encapsulates that vague undefined dynamic than shinyuu 💔. Maybe after the reunion? As a treat? For all the pain the arcs caused?

Forgot for a sec but it really fascinated me how iruma narrowed down the definition of friend so much bc despite the fact that friend generally encapsulates the platonic relationship, it is very broad in regard to levels. Friend can be used to refer to anybody from an acquaintance you dont hate to someone you've known and been incredibly close with for years. Maybe it's bc he's talking to the misfits class who he is in fact close with, but to define the entirety of the term friend using that margin is... an interesting choice. It probably was for the sake of iruma characterization but im too lazy to think abt that rn. Maybe it's bc he never had proper relations growing up like no proper parents no friends not even any parental figures. Most he probably got was the occasional nice person at his workplaces. So his view of relationships isnt that developed? If anyone wants to try then don't leave it in the tags. Actually rb with a comment or make your own post.
