my little bunny went home to his real family today and seemed very happy to see them. this is the last video I took of him in the afternoon before they picked him up, and although it just shows a sleepy little bunny falling asleep in his nest, it's an important video in his story because it was the first time he had ever fully relaxed around me, a level of comfort that usually takes rabbits weeks or months to reach. like most herbivores rabbits can get by on micro sleeps while sitting upright, even with their eyes open, and although I looked at him all the time I never saw him flop over and relax like this until this afternoon. he had just finished a big meal of fresh greens I had gathered for him, and I was sitting by his crate trying to spend every last minute with him that I could before he went home. and he just sat close to me and stuffed his little face and then got so so sleepy and rolled around in his bed and went to sleep while looking right at me. when I got up to get a drink or a charger or something he would fuss and rattle the crate until I came back, and then settle down again when I did. I miss him so much
