Hi all!! I’m sorry I’ve been MIA for so long. Things have been extremely hectic but I hope everyone is doing well!

Despite not posting I’ve actually continued to practice drawing so I’m hoping there’s some improvement~ this was my very first grayscale digital painting I’ve ever done and I was so excited and happy with how it came out. I’m actually planning on doing inktober in mostly black and white with geiko, maiko, and the general karyukai as my theme, so wish me luck!! I actually managed to goof up a bit in that her hair ornaments are a mix between a senior and junior maiko with the bundle of flowers and the lush I, but then her under collar would definitely be worn by a junior maiko. Oops, but I still really like how it turned out and i hope you enjoy it as well!!

Draw a character inspired by your zodiac sign and your birthstone

I actually did this a while ago but it fits perfectly so I hope it still counts, it was for a contest that was dropped which was super frustrating. my zodiac is virgo and my birthstone is sapphire. There's another stone associated with virgo called carnelian, an orange streaky semiprecious gemstone which I thought complements the blue really nicely. I tried to make the hair look like blue sapphire and added the different colors of sapphire as the roses in her hair. Anyway, I really hope you enjoy it!!

Tumblr is an even playing field compared to websites like Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube. Which means its up to us, the users, to spread the word of people we enjoy– the way the internet should be.

I’m not asking you to reblog shit you don’t like. I’m not asking you to reblog everything out of pity. But when you see a post you genuinely like, reblog it.

I'm so sorry I've been gone

To be as honest without being super revealing as possible, work has been wild. This whole week I've had late nights at work, before that I had conferences, the weeks leading up to Halloween are wild with after school events, spooky dances, trunk or treats, and festivals. Your girl is pooped. But with that I shouldn't have any after school events until at least February, so I'll be back sooner rather than later!

The nerves got to me and I ducked out but I want to come back, maybe open up requests again. Something I really want to do, with Supernatural starting their final season, is I want to do a special series for that centered around the theme of family displayed in that show. Anyway, I hope I can get started again~
