Following the eventful ceremony, we all proceed to the Gold Lion pub by the river in Sunderland. After a few tears during the speeches we move onto the evening celebration and Sam has one last surprise for her guests... A hypnotist! Well this has certainly been a first. The Hypnotist called Ian Dee was a wedding present from Sammy's Mam Toni, some people were more susceptible than others which made for very entertaining viewing. A wedding video we produced for a client who got married at ways barn in middlebrough. 

Now, it's fair to say that Gemma & Alex's wedding ceremony was a first for me, the first time I've filmed a vicar who's sermon involved a puppet. Yes, you read that right, a "would not have been out of place on Sesame Street or Avenue Q" actual puppet. It was quite the surprise, and really rather unique. 

Not only did he have a puppet (who, by the way was dressed as a bride and whose name was Kate) but he did a full on comedy and magic routine, which involved both Maid of Honour Sophie and Gemma & Alex's son Harrison, everybody loved it and you could definitely say that the congregation were well and truly entertained. So on to the reception at Whinstone View, what a venue, Wray's barn has a fabulous set up and the grounds are wonderful. The choices that Gemma & Alex had made for their decorations were fantastic and really complemented the venue, I thought that the string of photos behind the top table were a great personal touch, along with the polaroid board for photos of the day, but the most memorable part of the reception has to be the exceptionally emotional speeches. There was not a dry eye in the house, even Harrision couldn't help but shed a few tears, it was a great thing to see and be a part of. So with ventriloquist vicars and a room full of "happy tears" it's not a wedding that any of the guests will be likely to forget, that's for sure.
