“So my friend waving over there thinks you’re cute...” Sam tilts his head toward the bar, easy smile on his face. “And he wants to buy you a drink.” Then he breaks into a sprint, hurrying over toward the area he’d pointed out a few seconds prior, raising a hand to wave at the other who’s side he’d just left. This isn’t the first time he’s used this line, but it is thankfully the first time he’s made it across a room without jostling anyone or falling flat on his face after taking off. He’s only slightly winded, a faint blush on his cheeks that’s only in part due to the run and not embarrassment for once again putting himself out there. At least this way if they turn him down, he’s already across the room and at the bar ready to order a consolatory drink.

Pools of blue landing on his head, resting against his shoulder and the little warnings of protest opposite to the feeling of his body resting comfortably against his. “ I am not ridiculous unless you add attractiveness at the end. “ He retorts, turning his head at the last minute to capture his lips in a proper kiss. “ Yes. Good. I want all the free stuff. Preferably food. “

trying hard not to laugh feels impossible, but Sam has had a lot of practice. He can’t help the huff of laughter though, shaking his head. “You’re right, absolutely,” he says, amusement clear in his voice as he showers Isaac’s shoulder in kisses. “My ridiculously attractive boyfriend.” He gives a surprised gasp as their lips meet, but returns the kiss more than enthusiastically .”You would. I honestly don’t know where you put all that food, dude.” He shakes his head fondly, reaching up to tussle the other’s hair. “You definitely deserve it though.” Sam will be sure to make it happen. ”We’ll have the best viral promposal ever then have the best prom ever.”

"It doesn't sound like nothing, dude. It also doesn't sound old when you talk about it like that." Sam knew better than to get into the middle of things, especially some weird triangle or was it a square with him involved and if so, didn't that mean he couldn't be in the middle. "What was the argument about?" He asked against his better judgement, not to mention, he was pretty sure he already knew. "Or better yet, did you guys make up? 'Cause if you ask me, it doesn't seem like it."

The blonde knocked his shoulder against Harvey's and smiled wryly, "So maybe you should fix that first."

“I said he seemed nice. It’s not the same thing.”

"Well when you put it like that..." Sam frowned at the other, head tilting to the side. "So... he's not nice? Or is this like, a jealously thing? Do you want me to talk to him? Do you want me to talk to her?" He asked, glancing at where the two in question were sitting; the girl's red headband blazed vividly like a beacon. From the look of things, they seemed pretty cozy to him. In fact, as he watched, the taller boy stood up and started to take off his fur lined denim jacket to put it over the girl's shoulders.

"Huh, yeah. Seems really nice."

there had been plenty of opportunities for people to tell him that he was kind of intense. Even with something as simple as walking. And to some degree, he had to agree it was true. He was different when he was on his own. More self-possessed, determined, maybe even recklessly so on his own than he would be in the company of people he cared about. Although he tried not to be too much on the latter. But sometimes he got ahead of himself without even realizing it. 

A little chuckle and he steals the map from him, figuring it was more distracting than actually seeing the important landmarks he’d have to remember to get back there. “ Yep. Moving. Quickly please. “ He adds, another clap to the other blonde’s back, grinning from ear to ear. Appearing as if someone quite high strung on coffee even though he’d barely had a cup of tea this morning. “ Uh, Sam Evans. “ He repeated, shaking his hand enthusiastically, letting it go to turn his head forward again, a few steps ahead now as they finally stopped in front of the building. 

Stepping back around him to look down at the paper and confirm his initial suspicion with a hearty laugh. “ Lucky day for you, it seems, Uh, Sam Evans. “ He pulled his own key swipe out of his pocket and opened the door for him and just as quickly taking one of what seemed like too many bags for the other guy to hold from him and onto his shoulder. “ It’s Morgenstern. Jonathan Morgenstern. Weird name, I know. I’m your roommate. Let’s get you settled, huh?”

thankfully, it was easy for him to keep in step with the other. Sam works out almost religiously, enough that his mother worries constantly and makes sure to text him at least once a day to check if he’s resting properly. Still, it’s hard for him to watch where he’s going and try to keep track. He knows he’s not always going to find a helpful stranger nearby and hopes he can quickly learn to navigate through the campus by himself. “ Right, got it. ” The blond stumbles a little, but the touch to his back is enough to push him forward. 

“ Thanks, man, ” he says sincerely, tossing Johnathon a grateful smile as he passes him and crosses the opened door. He makes sure to turn around and hold his now free hand out to shake the other’s. “ Nice to meet you, officially. ” Once they’re up in their room, Sam quickly starts to deposit all of his stuff on the empty side. “ So Jonathan Morgenstern, anything I need to know? ” While he unpacks, he glances at the other, eyebrow raised. “ Like, do we actually have to come up with a sock on the door handle code or is that just something they do on TV? ” He purses his lip, eyes crinkling up at the corners as he tries not to laugh.

“ ‘Cause that sorta seems fake, but if you ever need the room to yourself, I don’t mind making myself scarce for a few hours, ” he says easily with a shrug and starts working on making his bed. “ Hey, you allergic to anything? My mom made me a bunch of stuff for the road and baked some cookies. They’re over there if you’re hungry. ” Sam inclines his head toward the desk at the foot of his bed, a box full of food sitting on top. He knows that’s only the beginning and he’ll be even luckier if he makes it through the week without another box of home baked goods reaching his dorm room.

“It’s just that he has such a big dick, you know?” Sam sighs, eyes closing as he lets his phone drop to lightly tap his forehead. “It’s like, I don’t even like the dude. He’s a horrible person with even more horrible opinions, like a real grade A asshole, right?” He shifts his head to glance at the other on the armchair before holding his phone back up above himself to go through it until he pulls up the man’s dating profile. He wasn’t going to message him, he wasn’t. “You know what I need to do?”

The blonde purses his lips, tongue darting out a second later as he eyes his phone in concentration. He’s exiting out of the jerk’s information and searching through the app once again. “I just need to fuck someone with an even bigger dick. That’s the only way I’m going to get over him, I can’t go back to him. I just can’t.” Sam flips himself over on the couch, giving him a better view of his roommate to gauge their reaction. “This is the perfect plan, yeah?”

" oh my god, babe. are you objectifying me? " sam brought his arms up, crossing them over his chest, one hand clutching his neck like a fair maiden. " i feel very objectified right now. " he held the pose for a moment before breaking out in laughter, shaking his head. " you know, usually when i was stripping, there was music. if you want a free show, you’re going to need to give me a beat. "

sometimes it feels like he’s done this a million times, running his fingers up along his chest, clutching at the cloth a little tighter. Looking down and back up. Forehead pressed against his. “I could. “ He whispers. “But I could just kiss you.” He whispered gruffly, hands splayed against the back of his neck. Tugging him forward, crushing their lips together. 

sam’s surprised grunt quickly turned into a small moan, arms reaching out to tuck themselves under the other’s coat and pull him closer. “ that is a much better idea in my opinion, ” he murmurs, grinning mischievously, he adds with a wink, “ you could still take me though. ” he inclined his head toward the stairs, raising an eyebrow. “ you feeling up to it tonight, cowboy? ”

“If you really love me, you’ll break up with me,” Sam said with a complete straight face, green eyes brimming with sincerity. “We can get back together once I’m done making sad videos to my girl Taylor’s songs.” Holding up his phone, he showed the other the clip of him singing in the shower. “This one already has like ten thousand views.” Whether it was due to his on point acting or the full on display of his wet abs on camera was being highly debated in the comment section of the app. “Please. It’ll be like, a week. Tops.”
