i don't have concrete numbers for anything just yet bc i'm doing all this mess bY HAND but

a loooot of folks seem to be saying they took a while to get into Ghost. like a period of years. myself included. the reasons are probably too varied for me to draw any data from, if I even asked the participant why that was, but I'm wondering if it's some neurodiverse thing - do we all tend to shelve interests until it's "the right time"?

i remember straight up blocking every combo of Ghost I could think of bc I was so sick of seeing that skeleton twink (Terzo) on my dash and then eventually being like "FINE what do they sound like"

#They unironically came to me at a right time lol #Known them since 2018/2019 as this band that didn’t look like what they sounded like #Just got fresh out of psych ward in November 2021 (after like 3 weeks because they threw me out to make way for new patients lol)#that was also a time period when I had lost most my life long interest in gaming due to depression so I was pretty much lost #I was just existing for most of 2021 at the time but I coped with a lot of metal and rock #since that also had been an interest for a long time but I never really got deep into it #So anyway I was listening a lot to Carpenter Brut at the time and was wondering if he had any songs I haven’t heard yet #Saw the remix of dance macabre and was like „oh okay I know ghost. They’re this weird band“#listened to it and liked it #tried the original and liked it too #Okay you know what imma give them a try to see why they look like that #Fell into a rabbit hole and here we are 4 1/2 years later #Don’t regret one bit. Pretty much changed my whole life
