Star Wars: The Grant Gambit, Chapter 1: Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained
Of all the reasons Kara could imagine to be summoned by General Leia Organa, this was not one of them. “I’m sorry, General. Did you just say you lost me in a bet?” Kara questioned incredulously.
“No, no, Kara. I didn’t lose you, I just…promised to lend your exceptional services. You’re the best pilot I have, which makes you the perfect choice for this high profile mission” Leia sniffed, obviously happy with her explanation. “And for the record I didn’t lose. She cheats.”
“I’m sorry, General, she?”
“Cat Grant. She cheats” Leia bit out between clenched teeth.
Kara suddenly felt as though her eyes might bulge out of her head. “Cat Grant! The Queen of all Media??”
“Yes that’s the one” she replied dryly. “You are the best X-Wing fighter pilot in the entire Resistance and you will be escorting Cat Grant’s ship back to Coruscant this afternoon. When you arrive, Cat has only asked that her young son be able to meet you and to see your ship. That’s it, Kara, easiest mission you’ve ever been on” Leia said as though she were sending the young pilot on a vacation. “Any questions?”
“No, General, no questions. I guess I’ll go prep for the flight.”
“Oh and, Kara?” Leia called out just before the pilot stepped outside… “Don’t let her take you drinking. Trust me.”

@abydosdork: “What would happen if Cat Grant and Princess Leia got drunk together and got all snarky?”
Me: “We can funko that.”
Oh dear, @abydosdork. This may get out of hand…
