can we talk about the first two episodes that misa is introduced in ??? im DYING to talk about this.
so, the murderer of misa's parents gets taken out by kira. so she begins to worship him. i dont remember if he killed that guy before or after misa got her death note ? but either way, she gets one and now knows that the infamous kira is somebody like her, using the note to kill criminals to "better the world". what does she do with this information, being a worshipper of kira and possessing the same power he does? she copies his killing style to get his attention and then kills criminals and innocents alike on live television to find a way to get his identity, of course!
which makes me curious, how fucked did her perception of the value of human lives get from her parents' murder that she did this with no qualms ??? that, and she herself was also almost murdered by a stalker before she watched him perish in front of her. like she's genuinely been surrounded by death before she even got her hands on a death note. because it's not like she can't comprehend what it really means to take a life (cough unlike light yagami), she's seen it with her own eyes. like, she even offered up her own friend's life when light was giving out to her with absolutely NO hesitation. did life and death lose all its meaning to her after watching so many deaths and having a near death experience ?
