HOT TAKE but Sprouts new "design" isn't actually that good

For one, considering how he's a cartoon, he doesn't actually need all the clothing (shirt, gloves, hat). He could just be given an apron and that would immediately fix every problem with his design.

For another, it's a lot to animate! Actually! That vine pattern would be a pain in the fucking ass! Those frills! A pain in the fucking ass! The spoons? A pain in the fucking ass! The hat? Possibly a pain in the fucking ass! The glove lines? Pain in the ass! That design is way too detailed for a kids cartoon and NO I will not be suspending my fucking disbelief. "Bobette" SHES A SEASONAL she doesn't get that much animation spotlight. Even then she's stretching it and I wouldn't be surprised if her episodes were shorter/took longer to come out because of her sweater.

There's a reason most tv shows/cartoons have character designs that are less detailed. Yes dandy world designs are flawed but they do NOT need 10 billion details to be "better".

A design needs to fit within the context of the story. Just because it's more appealing doesn't make it good.
