I almost never post my own crap, but I just wanted to vent a little. All the shit around Metal Gear Survive is rather childish. Clinging to the notion weād ever get a new MGS game is stupid. Kojima is gone, he wanted it done by MGS4 but we got 5 and y'all still werenāt happy. We shouldnāt have even gotten it, we were lucky we did but it wasnāt enough for some. With the series officially dead, donāt count on more to the Solid universe. Spin offs are all weāre gonna get anymore. Survive isnāt even canon. Itās got its own universe, with its own mechanics. Rising was a spin off too, and there was certainly a lot of hate for it, but now look at it. Itās now a very loved addition. Who knows, maybe Survive can get there too, as a multiplayer experience. And new people will play, and discover the rest of the series, and thus expands the playerbase. And of course you need constant internet. Itās an ONLINE multiplayer game, the fuck you expect.
And if you do like it, but canāt accept it as Metal Gear, thatās cool. I like the aesthetic of Resident Evil 7 but refuse to believe itās a part of the Resident Evil series. But itās neat to play and watch others play because itās pretty damned scary. From everything Iāve heard, Survive is pretty solid, but doesnāt feel Metal Gear. And thatās fine, not everyone will agree. But can we stop clinging to the notion itās gonna ruin the series? Itās dead and wrapped up, we canāt do much more to it.
Side note, if you donāt like micro transactions, donāt use them.
