I really wish so much of the AlloAro positivity posts by non-AlloAros wouldn't keep saying "you aren't sluts!" as positive reassurance.

What about the AlloAros who are sluts? What about the ones that do like to have a lot of sex? Who like to have one-night-stands? Are they not worth your positivity? Are they not worth your support?

I get that a lot of AroAllos are called sluts as an insult, and for them, it may feel good to be reassured that that isn't true. But what I think would be better is to take away the negative connotations of the word slut.

While I personally don't like to use the term slut for myself, and I understand any other person who doesn't like the term, there are a lot of AroAllos who do identify themselves as sluts, or call themselves sluts. That's not a bad thing. It's not immoral or evil to be a slut. No matter the reason they use that term.

If you don't include those of us who do fit the "negative" stereotypes, you exclude all of us. I do not feel safe with a person who tries to reassure me in my identity by saying "you aren't a slut" even if I'm not and what they're saying is true to me. Because what always swings with it is a silent "but if you were..."

So that then makes me wonder, what goes "too far"? Where's the line? When am I one of the "bad ones" and left in the dust?

If you only support AroAllos based on some arbitrary standards set by your own discomfort around sex, you support none of us.

Support all AlloAros, no matter their personal stance on sex. Wether they only want to have sex in commited relationships, only in the context of explicit long-term sexual relationships, only with friends, or with strangers, or if they want a lot of one-night-stands, if they want multiple sexual or different types of relationships at the same time, multiple of those, or if they don't want sex at all, or anything else.

aroallo culture is being sick of alloros saying 'aroallo people are valid... as long as they let their partners know very clearly that they only want a sexual relationship' because like. yeah obviously communication is crucial in any relationship but you don't need to keep adding that last bit every time; you're starting to sound like you view aroallos as predators by default who need to constantly be reminded not to violate people. you wouldn't say things like this about any other demographic.
