hi there. welcome to my new studyblr. for those of you who don’t know, my name is alex, i am sixteen years old and i live in the UK. i am finishing my GCSEs now, and plan on studying the international baccalaureate next year. i love english and politics and psychology, and have a deep love of space (but hate everything else physics related oops)

why did i move blogs?

time for a change. my old blog has so much baggage that i couldn’t get away from, and going into sixth form, i want to start afresh completely. i’m not an A* student, but hopefully by clearing away the last few years, i can start the IB with a new approach and organisation that i’ve been severely lacking so far, and get the grades i need for university.

what do i like doing?

other than school, which i only like 51% of the time, i enjoy writing & playing football. i used to rock climb & dance ballet, both of which i still enjoy but no longer do regularly, and i am a scout. 

who do i know?

i have a few friends on the studyblr community - okay so only one but its @acadcmique and she’s stuck with me for the next two years, but i’m highly influenced by @studyign, @stuhdys & @obsidianstudy. i like to think i’m a friendly person; so message me to be friends and i’ll try to reply asap !!!

04.05.2016 // working on my last essay of the year. I had to pick a single work of art to discuss so I’ve gone for Henry Moore which has been really interesting.

concept: going to bed early and getting eight, maybe even nine hours of sleep. the bed has clean sheets and the room is a perfect temperature for sleep. all important work is finished. you can wake up whenever without any pressure or impending activity the next day.

types of students

a. coffeshops, highlighters, little post-it notes, wanting to be perfectly organized b. 2 am, eyebags, stacks of papers, the deadline is in half an hour c. messy bullet journal, messy desk, messy life but still trying d. night: telling yourself how productive you’ll be tomorrow, day: let’s binge watch another netflix series e. buying tons of cute stationery, having only one pen left by the end of the school year f. working really hard to achieve your goals only to be asked why you’re so smart g. ancient libraries, the smell of new textbooks, wanting to acquire all the knowledge h. studying to help people, to save the environment, to change the world
