I would prefer to attend to this business myself, however, I will be occupied for quite some time and will not have the time to attend to my business. I would also rather not wait, time is of the upmost importance to me. Therefore I will need you to go to the establishment and handle my buisness for me. I am trusting you with this task. I am certainly hoping that you are the right person for this work!

What qualifications do you have that make you the perfect candidate?

First and foremost, I'm already a student in your Statistics class, and it makes more sense to give the time to someone already enrolled! Other than that, I've been a long-term member of the Student Council, and I'm a senior member of the swim team, so you can count on me to be serious, dedicated, and reliable!

This position may require fieldwork as well. Can you rely on your Pokemon to protect you in case of wild pokemon attacks?

My team is perfectly capable of handing anything that could possibly be thrown at it.

Why are you interested in this… volunteer work?

Like I said, as one of your students, it only makes sense I'd be interested in earning the potential credit!

There may be times when you are required to handle important sensitive documents. Are you reliable enough to hand them to me WITHOUT reading them?

And finally, what do you hope to get from this experience?

A bit more experience, maybe some credit for a class, and of course it's always nice to have something new to add to a resume!

The night had certainly taken some surprising turn, but what else could you expect when with the enigmatic Blue? Fire nods to his accomplice as she gets in position. A far-off look is caught somewhere in his eyes— right before a deafening explosion is not the best time to be lost in thought, but he can’t help it when the pangs of regret and slight humiliation from earlier tonight are still so fresh in his mind. So he doesn’t quite catch the implications of her off-hand remark, nor does he realize what’s going on until he hears the fizzling of the wick. Blue shoves into him a second after, and he’s brought into the immediate present once again. Why waste any more time thinking on the past?

For what seems like the millionth time that night, Fire’s running in some random direction at full-speed, laughing and not daring to look behind. His sense still isn’t the keenest, so as soon as they’re some distance away he collapses over into the grass. The fireworks are blooming and shriveling away in the darkness with manic intensity like… an… acid trip. I’m running out of metaphors to describe fireworks.

He shares a smirk with Blue, then lets out a satisfied exhale. A combination of intoxication and fatigue compels him to lay his head down.

“Hey,” he says rather suddenly. “Lay down. I know it’s, like, snowy, but the view’s better from here.”

In the midst of it all, Blue can't help but take a moment to appreciate the fact that for once, she has someone to share a prank with. Unwitting accomplices were common enough, but actually partnering with someone rather than working and taking the enjoyment on her own was rare. And it's nice-- she isn't the type to get overly sentimental about things like this, but Fire has certainly made the night all the more enjoyable. She may have been slightly less methodical, slightly more sloppy in her execution, but she's having more fun and isn't that what matters most, really?

She raises a brow when he tells her to lay down in the snow, taking a moment to determine whether he's drunk or just crazy. Regardless, she gives a shrug and follows suit, bending her knees to avoid bare legs on the snow and crossing her arms behind her head.

And unsurprisingly, he's right. She smiles up at the sky, reveling in the array of colors and the sound of the whistling and pops of the fireworks. "It's freezing cold down here," she informs him, wrinkling her nose. "But it does look a lot better!"

Absolutely worth it.
