Hi, Jordan. It’s Jordan. It’s September of 2021 right now and by the time you’re reading this, it’ll probably be 2031. It’s late right now. I’m sitting at my desk to write this. Giselle is actually asleep right now and I’m trying to be quiet. I don’t know why I chose to write this tonight. I guess writing to your future self makes it feel like maybe you’re not that happy where you are right now. For me, I am happy right now. My life at Acadia has been everything. I see this big school as my home. Though all of these crazy things and new species has been intimidating, I still love it. So, I guess I wanted to write to you as a reminder of what’s happened during the first year of me being here.

Dear Eleanor,

I always think of you in the silent hours, no matter how many years pass. My favorite sound is still your laughter, even if I can never remember it the way I want. All my memories of you have missing pieces, I can't ever reach the true form. The closest to reality are the pictures I keep. But they taunt me. I see you perfectly frozen in time, and it's like staring at a window to a place I will never return to. 

I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive myself for abandoning you. How could I have missed what was right in front of me? You were in pain, and I couldn't see it. I even blamed you at times, as if you weren't a victim of your own misery. Then I blamed everything. The pills and the needles. I blamed God the most for giving us a tough life. We never had a say in the world we were born into, after all. But I've seen people survive hardships many times to think that could be the reason. Who is to blame if not myself? You were my little sister, my responsibility. And what was I doing when you needed me the most? I don't even remember, that's how important it was. I lost track of you because I was busy with everyday life.

People say we get through grief eventually, but I don't want to. I'll never be able to get over this pain because it's the only thing that comes close to the love I have for you. I can't have any more of you taken away from me. I promised myself that I would do good and help others in the way that I couldn't help you. The constant pain of your absence is what keep this promise alive. You keep me alive, even if I couldn't do the same for you. My sun, I'll always carry you with me.

Scarlet is rather infamous for her beautiful yet eclectic closet. From classy and demure pieces, to pant suits that ooze sex appeal, she fully believes that the way you dress is key in how people will perceive you. While skirts, sweaters, and knee-high boots are her fashion staples, she’s often seen in high wasted denim with beautiful tops when dressing for a casual setting.
