You happen to be in the human world when a solar eclipse is occurring. You're watching it with Lucifer. He's prepared everything you'll need to view it safely. He's seen more eclipses than he can count, but he knows this is a novel event for someone short-lived like you.
The sky begins to darken as the sun is eclipsed. You stand up, enthralled, adjusting your special glasses so they don't fall. At totality, when it's black as night and the world feels silent, you turn to Lucifer at your side. Sharing in this moment that will be unforgettable for both of you.
You falter and ask, "Are you doing that on purpose?"
"What?" Lucifer seems caught off guard by your out-of-place question.
You don't know whether to look at the sun or Lucifer's face. You look back and forth, sneaking glances at the eclipse while anxious concern for Lucifer begins to well up.
"Your eyes are kinda, like, blood red."
The whites of his eyes and his black pupils both meld into a singular solid color that faintly glows in the lightless surroundings. Even without his wings and horns, Lucifer gives off an incredibly demonic impression.
Despite how eerie he looks, you can tell he is displeased by the way his eyes narrow and his brows knit together. "I don't know what you're talking about."
