have you ever considered writing Flogemi fanfic? I have a feeling you'd be very good, since all the lore you wrote regarding Gemini is so intresting! I mourn that they arnt an acctual playable twist character ;,)

I'm considering compiling all my Flogemi drabbles (and canon story) in ao3 but nothing's set on stone yet! I'm still a bit shy about my writings and publishing them online, but I do hope to do so soon, for an easier reference and of course, for fellow interested ones to read along their story!

At the moment, I do publish the shorter ones here, often accompanied by an illustration! I've written a few drabbles here and there privately and would love to share them soon!

Have Floyd and Gemini ever argued over anything?

Oh most definitely! They aren't a perfect couple, and squabbling happens a lot more than you think! More serious arguments also tend to happen, although, a lot more rare.

Considering how blunt Floyd can be, and how Gemini has a tendency to turn tail when things get too negative, there will be a dangerous push-pull dynamic if they argue, while Floyd pushing to unravel Gemini's feelings.

But then again, they're both emotionally intelligent, so most arguments may start and tense up quick, but it'll simmer just as quickly too.

If Gemini was truly sick and bedridden and all they wanted was mushroom carbonara pasta made by Floyd would Floyd make it for them even though he hates making it because of the mushrooms to gemini’s request or would he just order it out

Oh totally, he would. All it takes are a pair of glassy, puppy eyes and a pouty "please" and Floyd is grumbling, making a mushroom carbonara pasta for poor ol' Gemini

okay this is mkre a headcannon question bc I'm curious, yk how people headcannon the octrio to be Italian (fish mafia) since Gemini is your oc where would you say they'd come from? Since there really is no definite place never land is based on (Denmark, Australia and aomthing else I'm not too sure - all inspos)

Oh, this is fun to think of since I do sometimes think of it too >< I think they'd be English, since the original Peter Plan story does originate from London, as well as the animated Peter Pan film also being set in Bloomsbury London.

Buuuuuut they can also be French since Fleur City is inspired by the setting of Hunchback of Notre Dam, which is set in Paris, but imagining Gemini with a French accent like Rook does make me giggle.

So on the assumption Gemini handles their stress well- *LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER*

They do handle stress fairly well actually! But they're also human by the end of the day, they can only take so much.

It's also sort of helpful that Gemini has the attitude of turning tail once a situation gets too tough/unbearable, like arguments that become too emotional, so they won't get too affected mentally.

On a regular day, if only one factor of stress is in front of them (i.e school stress), they can easily maneuver around it. But insistent blows of stress from multiple sources will wear them down.

just bc I'm a lore nerd and Ik thr ob au is an au but where about in thr books would it take place (originally assumed after book three but before book 4?)

Even though it's an AU, putting it in the existing books doesn't feel right since there's not enough factors to trigger their OB. I don't think it happens in the current timeline/books honestly, but I do think it can happen in their later years (say third year or fourth year, near graduation). It'll make sense too if it's near their internship or graduation since those are moments where insane amount of stress can be accumulated, and as I've put in an ask before, Gemini's OB was triggered by stress (parental stress + school stress + future planning stress).

Tying it up with this ask, I think it'll be interesting if the storyline starts off as Gemini and Octatrio deciding to take one last holiday together as students in Fleur City, Gemini trying to keep face and not get stressed by their parents and Octatrio's insistent questioning about their home town and early life, Gemini's judgement being clouded by stress, and then badabing-badaboom, accidental overblot!

Also I wonder in the ob au what triggered the whole overblot? As far as I'm aware it was an argument-(was it or am I misremembering details) with their parents (since in their home city fleur city) like imagine trying to explain to a child ' hey your magic is dangerous be careful' and your child is like 'ya okay, will do' then overblots later that night - like 👀 I'm just imagining that scene from the anime where riddle tilts his head back and there's just blot dripping down his face

Gemini's general theme plays along the themes of the cosmos, wanderlust and escapism, so I can see their overblot having the same theme! Perhaps elements of falling stars, and the environment looking like it's otherworlsly, being twisted to look bigger than it should.

Their overblot is triggered by an argument with their parents, yes! I have it written that their argument's core is their parents insistent worrying (to the point it's nonsensical) over their return to NRC after the family visit, as well as Gemini's future plans in life post graduation. Mid argument, Gemini would continuously try to cast spells to prove nothing is dangerous while trying to argue their case to their parents (who aren't interested in hearing their side). Their frustration, anger, and desperation would cloud their better judgment as Gemini would go over their magic limit without noticing.

Floyd would also factor in as in the middle of trying to stop Gemini, Gemini would unconsciously cast a spell against him to push him away. This would be the final nail in the coffin before blot starts to consume them then! Overblot time!

But I think Gemini's reaction is more like Azul's overblot animation, where they're mid manic laughter and don't notice they're overblotting until it's too late.

In the overblot au, you mentioned it happens in Gemini's home town of fleur city, on the assumption they are home how did the others find out about the overblot? Were the other just happening to be near by?

Was it kind of like a gradual thing for Gemini (I recall a post saying an argument happened? I may not recall all the details)

Like their parents just seeing the blot show up and being like 'Oh.Oh no.Thats not good' whilst Gemini kinda dows their thing

it's such an intresting thing to explore, course we know they'd ☠️ in the normal time line cause magic stuff (thrn again was there an explanation tied to that? I think it was the whole balancing casting magic and not casting magic for that-)

In the AU, only Octatrio were there! It kind of takes place during a holiday, and the trio just happens to want to tag along to see their hometown >< so during their overblot, it was just Jade, Floyd and Azul present! (It was definitely a story to tell when they got back to school)

It was also a gradual build up! The tension of trying to make their parents settle down and not intervene, the stress of trying to put up a good front and impression to friends visiting the first time, and the constant need to prove that they're okay were the biggest factors. Their parents definitely saw signs (blot nosebleeds) which is why they became more insistent in intervening -> which factored in more stress for Gemini while casting magic -> which caused more blot build up.

You're also right about them not surviving an overblot if it happens in the normal timeline, although it's due to the reasoning that with the amount blot and magic build up it takes for Gemini to overblot, both will essentially eat them from the inside-out. Think of it as how a star tends to collapse on itself when it's near death— that's how overblot is with Gemini.

Ik thr height difference isn't much but has Floyd ever had Gemini sit on their shoulders? If so what did they think ?

I think Gemini riding Floyd's freaky aah six foot plus height would be so funny and cryptid-like (and would cause a few funny door-frame bumps)
