This is the first half of my BFA show that went up in October. I decide to do a take on the book Sabriel by Garth Nix (one of my favorites). I designed the three protagonists (Sabriel, Mogget, and Touchstone) as well as the villain (Kerrigor). These were so fun and I feel like I really grew as an artist over the course of this project. Wow, that was generic but the amount of work that went into this still has me going into a state of shock when I think about it.

So this is a piece I did for a Astronomy class of all things. One of the most surprising things I learned was that back in 2000 astronomers discovered that there were 13 constellations that represent the phases of the sun not 12. So the astrological signs are actually not what you think they would be. Goodbye Sagittarius hello Scorpio.

Hey Guys!

Its been a while. This is a character for my digital painting class. The assignment was to render them out in one material (emulating the clay maquets they make for animated movies) so that we can see how our character is working in 3D. I like the way this guy turned out.

Alright! We’re going to Salt Lake Comic Con!

My first assignment in Vis Dev & Character Design!! I tried something new. A little flatter with more emphesis on shape.....at least that was the idea. They aren't perfect but I'm proud of myself for branching out!

I gift you with some mermaids! I saw this amazing mermaid by Mingjue Helen Chen, she is seriously gifted! I was so inspired that I had to try out a few of my own!
