For those unaware, Grant Wahl is a legendary soccer reporter. He is known for covering women’s soccer when few journalists cared to. A few weeks ago he was kicked out of a world cup stadium in Qatar because he was wearing a rainbow shirt in support of his brother, who is gay. His brother says that he received death threats for this shirt. Grant also dared to expose the deaths of countless migrant workers in Qatar preceding the world cup, as well as the general ass-backwardness of the Qatari government. I refuse to believe that his death was an accident.
