Imagine Mike tying Eleven’s shoelaces for her while they’re on a stroll. She is totally entranced by how he ties them so fast and effortlessly. While he’s at school, she spends the whole day practicing OVER and OVER again, trying to get the loops just right. When Mike finally comes home, he greets Eleven with a hug and she lights up when she sees Mike’s shoe is casually untied (totally on purpose just to make her happy). Eleven grins excitedly and ties his shoe for him as fast as she can, feeling super proud of herself for learning a new skill and for being able to help him. Mike just can’t stop smiling at her
