Some photos from the last couple days in Denver. Food show was a real blast. Big thanks to our friends at Boulart Bakery!
More pictures from the incredible Black Canyon. Fortuitously met a motley group of French Canadians last night with a crazy Newfoundlander who are here at the Dairy-Deli-Bake convention in Denver. Several hours of drinking later we get invited to go along with them. Spent a great morning sampling some INCREDIBLE cheeses, meats and baked goods from around America. Then left with bags full of goodies. Thank you Denver!
Just a moment to post a quick picture of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. This was a really really amazing place, totally unique and so surreal in its landscape. Currently enjoying less peaceful times sitting in the van in a museum car park using the wifi before bed.
Beautiful, but hot day at Arches National Park! We got to see Park Avenue, Balanced Rock, North and South Windows, and the Delicate Arch!
Went rafting down the Colorado River yesterday, and taking a break from the heat today with iced coffees and pool time later at the Moab Recreation Center!
Bryce Canyon! Uploading while enjoying some air conditioning and cold beer and margaritas before Arches National Park tomorrow. Weather forecast for 95F!
Zion National Park
Our last day in Arizona! Tomorrow we are heading to Utah!
Managed to squeeze a quick stop in at Petrified Forest National Park. This also included the views of the amazing painted desert which looked really fantastic. After the drudgery of driving through Northern New Mexico the Petrified Forest was a welcome stop! Countless countless countless museum quality pieces of wood preserved uplifted for our viewing pleasure!
Long exposure shot from Carlsbad Caverns taken a few days ago. You can almost begin to see how huge the main caverns is. Main trail took an hour and a half to walk. Totally mind blowing! So big. Puts the word Cavernous into perspective
We have had the most peaceful, amazing day here at Desert View. Walked a couple trails, saw some amazing views, and had some journal/reading time! The campsite is a little far from the main Grand Canyon sites so we'll be moving to more centrally located campground tomorrow morning! Day 5 of living out of our van and really enjoying it!
Desert View, Grand Canyon, Arizona
New Mexico is looking prettier on our way to Arizona!
Enjoyed our time in the desert of NM and exploring the incredible Carlsbad Caverns. Ready to move on to higher grounds - Petrified Forest National Park here we come!
Good morning from New Mexico! We arrived last night in Carlsbad and got to the national park just in time for the bat flight! We found seats in the amphitheater and got to watch the sun go down as the cavern's bats exit for their nightly flight! We went back to our campsite and made some dinner under the stars, and woke up to this peaceful view! Today we will hike the 5 hour hike through the caverns! More to come later!
