ACE and TYE

I am a single Momma of two wonderful boys ACE and TYE.  ACE is on the Autism Spectrum, ADHD and SPD.  We have a house full of furry rescue and foster dogs and cats.  Each day is an adventure.  We would love for you to join us on the ride.

Okay I have been way behind on my blog postings.  So I am going to try and catch up at bit.  I wanted to share my lovely maternity images that were taken by my dear friend, Michael Hansen at 8 months pregnant.

Here is a bring a smile to your face kind of moment for the day! Ever since ACE was a baby I would scoop him up and dance with him. It's a fun tradition I have started with him. Well, ACE decided he wanted to scoop up someone and dance with them. For the past week he has been picking up Star and dancing with her. These moments melt my heart!

ACE is 2 years old and Star is about 4-5 months old.

In preparation for the arrival of Addison's younger brother, we decided to buy him a baby doll.  ACE is enjoying learning how to take care of his baby boy. I guess he thought the baby's milk tasted too good to pass up. Ha! Ha!

We had an ultrasound this past week. The baby was moving like crazy!  Although, he kept his back to the screen most of the time.  The ultrasound technician was able to take a peak between the legs and got a quick glimpse.  He is 99% sure it's a BOY!

I will be going back again shortly for another ultrasound due to signs of placenta previa.  We are saying lots of prayers that it starts to move up and into the right place very soon.  At least I get another chance to see my little munchkin again.

Baby Bump Update!

17 weeks Pregnant!  This little baby is growing, growing, growing.

I have gained 8 lbs thus far.  Well the weight gain actually happened just in the past month.  I have been craving sweets like crazy and completely indulging in my cravings.  My doctor said I better lay off the sweets because it wouldn't be healthy for me to continue gaining weight like this every month.  So I made a drastic decision and threw out all my brownies, cake and cookies.  No more deserts twice a day.  I have exchanged it for more fresh fruits.  Its really amazing how this pregnancy is completely different from my pregnancy with Addison.  So far, this pregnancy has been pretty good to me and I hope it continues.  I find out in two weeks the gender of the baby, Woohoo!

PREGNANT! WOOHOO! I am excited to announce that we are expecting our second child February 2013.  For the past two years I have battled horrible health problems, testings, surgeries, deaths in the family and much heartache.  We feel so blessed to be able to finally expand on our family. Its so hard for me to catch ACE on video doing and learning wonderful things.  I happen to get lucky during bath time.  He really loves learning with his bath flashcards.

We went shopping at Toys R Us the other day and who did we see up on a huge wall display, but our very own Addison.  He is in a Toys R Us advertisement, on store displays and the the box for this swing set.  He is sliding down the slide.  Way to go ACE man.  You look so cute.

I would like to share with you the rescue blog I have set up in honor my Coonhound Pepper who passed away from Stage 5 Lymphoma.  We have recently rescued and are fostering a senior dog named Tanner (Ogden was his shelter name) from a high kill shelter (60% of large dogs are killed).  He is in desperate need of surgery for his ear, teeth and treatment for being heart worm positive.  Please take a moment to read a little more about him and lend your support in way of donations.

I was so wrapped up in Pepper, her cancer and then her passing that I forgot to share some wonderful news.  About a month after Pepper was diagnosed with cancer we rescued another dog.  Our intentions were not to replace Pepper but help ease the transition for us and Thumper (our Australian Cattle Dog).  Welcome our latest rescue Falkor.  He is some sort of terrier mix.  When we brought him home he weighed about 20 lbs at 7 months.  Now just a few months later he is healthy and weighing in at 35lbs.  We rescued him from potentially death row at Miami Dade Animal shelter.  This place euthanizes 40-60% of the dogs that come in and 90% of the cats.  If you are looking for a new furry member of your family I urge you to rescue from a shelter and save a life.  These animals are forever grateful and make amazing companions.  Every one of my dogs and cats have been rescued.

Well, it's been about a year since my last family photo shoot and it was about time for another one.  I had such an amazing time doing the wardrobe styling for this shoot.  I mixed some vintage items with some new pieces, along with pulling together all three looks for my husband, son and I.  I am so excited with how the images turned out.  We shot with my dear friend and amazing photographer, Andre Rowe.
