[GUESS WHO’S BACK BITCHES IT ME IM SO HYPE--]
[Anyone still wanting an aced? Starter call!]
So, just FYI, I get wifi in a week. I’ll be back on Sept. 5th! :D
[Sorry for my continued hiatus! I’m not dead. Just… In Japan. With no wifi. I hope to have it soon. But until then, I can’t really do much on tumblr.]
Green eyes narrowed slightly at the touch, the same way that they often did when he was unhappy with Aced’s soft nature and coddling, and he swatted his hand away. That bad attitude returning with a vengeance was proof that he was well on his way to a full recovery.
His gaze went to glance out the window again. “So… this is your home?” The sights were so foreign to him: he had never known the sky could be so blue, the sun so bright, the air so clean… and he was really trying to figure out what the trees were supposed to be, as the few that he had seen were all long-dead in the sick soil of The Machine.
Sick… His mind flitted to what might have happened if Aced hadn’t found him when he did, casting a shadow over his gaze. It didn’t linger for too long: he knew better than to focus on dark thoughts like those ones. Instead, he’d been about to offer some sort of sarcastic comment about how the town was just as soft as he expected it to be… but the topic of food seemed to derail that train of thought quite easily.
“Are you kidding me?” he asked, incredulous. “I’m starving; I could eat a horse if I wanted.” Aced had the right idea to take things slow, but he wasn’t exactly known for being laid-back. Either way, a warm meal sounded fantastic right about now, and he wasn’t really in the mood to put up an act about it.
The swatting motion almost made Aced smile. That was definitely this kid’s personality coming back full force. Even if he was exhausted, the sass was still there, lingering under the strain of recovery. Aced had no doubt that he’d be up and snooping around the moment his body was able.
“Yep. The soft and sappy place I came from.” He chuckled softly and shook his head. The boy had always made fun of him when he’d told him about Daybreak Town. He’d said it sounded unreal and a place that someone so emotionally squishy had to have come from. “My room’s just down the hall, if you ever need anything.”
And apparently, he did need something. Right now. “But you won’t. Because you will throw up. Intensely.” For certain, the poor kid would get sick if he ate too much. He’d slept for days... “You wait here. I’ll get some stew started. I’ll grab you some water, too.”
He decided to give him space, backing toward the door. “Don’t push yourself or anything.”
[Hey everybody! Sorry about the sudden hiatus. Things have been… interesting in my life. I just moved from the US to Japan for an English teaching job. It’s been hectic and exhausting. I might not be fully back for some time, as I need to set up internet and get settled into work. WOW is Japan hot in the summer. But this blog isn’t dead.
Sweet anon, I’ve heard your plea, and when I have time, I’ll totally do an Ephemera vs. Sora… fanfic, probably. Anyway. If anyone wants to reach me, I’m happy to give out my skype.]
Innocent Curiosity
“So many say….” Invi always accepted there was a balance, light and darkness existed together. However it seemed that the darkness was indeed tipping that balance again, and this time it wouldn’t be banished to fix it, and one of their own would be involved in it’s vi-No…she didn’t want to think about that. She didn’t want to think about any of that. “I’m sorry, but I can’t dwell on that right now. I don’t think it’s healthy.” She hoped that her hinting would get the point across to him as well. She could talk about the past, but not this far back.”Aced….what were you like before?”
“Before?” Aced raised an eyebrow, quietly closing the book as he recognized her change in subject. No more about the distant past and not quite as distant future. As she said, it wasn’t healthy to dwell on it as they all did, not for long. Besides, what could he glean, reading the same passage over and over again. “Before.. the Master? Before becoming an apprentice?” Was that what she was asking?
“There was no before.” He shifted his chair to turn toward her. “I came to the Master when I was five. Whatever before existed, I do not remember. This...” He gestured generally to the castle. “Is all I am.”
@acediadominus “Aced! Can we keep it?” She’d been in the process of sneaking in a kitten when she’d run into him.
Aced stared down at the younger keybearer, expression impassive. He glanced to her hopeful face. Then down to the little kitten. Then back up again. “Only if we can name it Mittens.” Which was the only suitable name for such a cute cat with little white paws. “Or socks.”
Slavery was common among the upper-class enemies, Chances are if you slave with brightly coloured hair, they were one of her people.
If she was being honest with herself, she wanted to leap at the opportunity of meeting someone who knew about Keyblades. At the same time, though, she needed to play it safe - but he’d said his master was safe, and she wanted to trust him. She never got to trust, anymore.
“If you can find him, let’s go.”
“I hope I can...” With that, he continued forward, glancing to the girl for direction. Aced had never been to this world before, and between the strange buildings and dark alleys, he was very turned around. “Last I saw him, he was in a more populated place...” If that helped at all. Maybe there was a lot of populated places. “And... my friend, Ira, is with him. He’s got silver hair, so maybe he’ll be easy to spot?”
Aced’s words and the hand clapping his shoulder makes him feel better, but he still can’t help but say. “Oh.” Ira felt a little ashamed that he thought Aced disliked him because of how hard he worked, in all honesty he should have known better. “Let us get going.” The words sound odd coming from his mouth but he still manages a smile. “Let us not miss out on pretzel rolls.”
Aced snorted a laugh and shook his head, but did indeed head out the door. “What’s the point in going to the market without getting food?” He mused, somewhat cheerfully. “Perhaps we should get a few things. It’s been too long since we’ve all sat down and ate together.” Not without arguing, anyway. What had happened, to make it so easy for them to quarrel?
fate. her nose wrinkled a little, && it was clear that he hadn’t quite gotten her to believe it yet, but she still nodded. she didn’t say anything for a while, just listened to his words && kept her eyes on the ground. when he finished telling his own story, however, she couldn’t stop herself from looking at him in shock && a little confusion.
❛ So, he didn’t take you in because you could wield a Keyblade? ❜ she hadn’t really asked the others about their stories, not wanting to ask before they were ready to tell her or step on any toes, but aced was also so strong && powerful that she’d just assumed he’d been chosen by the master right away. the pat on her back brought her out of her thoughts. she wanted to return the smile, but there was still a bit of unease surrounding her. what if fate just…wasn’t on her side?
❛ But, what if he was wrong about me? What if I really can’t summon a Keyblade? ❜ her biggest fear, though she wouldn’t say it out loud if she could help it, was that she wouldn’t be able to summon the keyblade && she would be able to stay with the master, ira, aced, && invi anymore. she knew it was silly, in a way, but she feared what she feared.
“No. Although, he did mention that it made it easier that I had the potential.” It hadn’t been until Aced’s seventh birthday that the Master had formally taken him as an apprentice, had given him his keyblade-- or at least the capability to wield one. It wasn’t until he was twelve that he was actually able to summon the damn thing. “He wasn’t even sure I could do it until I was older.”
Despite his reassurances, Ava still looked... upset, however. Unsure. Perhaps nothing he said could fix this, but he could certainly try. “Keyblades... can be as stubborn as their wielders.” He gave a thoughtful, low hum. “Give it time. I’m sure you’ll be able. Besides, even if you can’t, you are an amazing young mage, and the Master would be happy with that.” For as eccentric as the man could be, he would never throw Ava out of she was unable to summon her keyblade. She was family.
Ack.
Her face was too expressive.
She managed a laugh, however. “Nothing– nothing too serious,” she hastened to assure him. “Almost– almost impertinent really. You needn’t worry, Master Aced.”
“If you’re sure.” Aced tilted his head to the side, brow furrowing. The way she said it just made him more curious. “I’m sure it isn’t impertinent, however. There’s no such thing as a bad question.” In his opinion, anyway. “The unquestioning are the ignorant.”
saw the japanese version of KH 2.8 trailer and the black coat dude totally sounds like tomokazu sugita
naturally i took this concept and fucking ran with it

[Send me XXX and I will share a nsfw headcanon about my muse.][Accepting] @ofkeysandswords
[Surprisingly enough, of my muses, despite him being one of the oldest, I have the least NSFW headcanons for Aced.
I would imagine, however, with his fixation on power, he likes a little power play in bed. That is to say, at times giving up power to his partner, so they have control and do as they like, and others seizing control and completely dominating his partner. It likely all depends on his moods and what had happened in that day.
No matter what though, he does not like being demeaned. Being ordered around though, he’ll tolerate.]

hey so idk if this has already been brought up but i figured i might as well throw my two cents into this debate fountain.
i was rewatching the trailer and i think it’s pretty darn clear that the scene of aced facing off against gula is framed to make aced seem hella suspicious. but like?? i don’t even even think he touched gula. look closely.
his keyblade is pointed straight up, and it remains that way for the entirety of the shot. he’s in a battle stance, yes, but he doesn’t move an inch after gula falls. that doesn’t seem like the behavior of someone who just dealt a heavy attack. in fact, i’d say this looks more like a defensive position than anything.
taken frame by frame, while gula’s in the process of falling, aced looks like he’s yet to have made a single move.
now i know for a fact that i’m not the first person to suggest aced may be a red herring for the audience to suspect of treason, and the more i look at this, the more i’m inclined to agree.
#LeaveAcedAlone2016
He decided against sitting up, his aching muscles screaming at him to take it easy for a little longer. Lying around in wait to see what would happen wasn’t what he particularly liked to do – he preferred to be one step ahead of any potential threat – but he tried to reason with himself: it would be good to conserve whatever energy he had if it turned out that he had to bolt, as he was sure he’d run out of it sooner than he’d like. A hand reached up to touch his forehead, finding a cold towel (though it seemed to have long since grown warm against his skin) settled there. Who was it that was taking care of him like this, and why were they bothering?
He came to a conclusion when he heard footsteps and then turned to see a familiar face in the doorway: Aced. That… wasn’t the least bit surprising, seeing how the older male seemed to be far more interested in and concerned for him than he thought anyone should be. Seriously, this man’s good intentions were going to get him killed someday…
“Yeah; mostly…” His fever had settled into something less worrisome – certainly not perfect, but nowhere near as high as it had been upon arrival. He still felt generally fatigued, body heavy, his lungs not quite cleared out, and he could swear up and down that his stomach made it seem like hadn’t eaten anything in a week, but overall, he was easily feeling a thousand times better. The only real issue was that he had more questions than he did answers. Where was he? How had he gotten here? How long was he welcome? Did he even want to be here? How much of what had happened these past few days was real, and how much of it was feverish delirium?
His head still didn’t appreciate thinking too hard about too many things, it seemed, and he decided the best way to get his answers was to ask. “Aced, what’s going on?”
Aced heaved a relieved sigh, crossing the room to sit on the edge of the kid’s bed. He’d been worried for days, waiting for the boy to wake, the fever to break. And here he was, not only awake and lucid, but definitely edging back to his normal sarcasm. “Good, you had me worried.” Aced leaned over to take the warm cloth from his forehead, then felt his temperature with the back of his hand. “Your fever’s definitely going down. You’ll be better in no time.” He pulled back with that, stretching his arms above his head with a satisfying crack.
At the question, he stopped his stretch, hands coming back down to rest in his lap. There was the inevitable question. Now how angry would the kid be at the answers? “Well, your illness got... worse. Much worse.” He scratched the back of his head awkwardly. “You couldn’t really wake up, or breathe well. I didn’t think you’d...” He trailed off, then shook his head,
“So I went home and got my teacher. I knew we had medicine, so...” What was the best way to put this. Now that he thought about it, it was definitely just well-meant kidnapping. “Long story short, he brought you to Daybreak Town. My home. And that’s where you are.” There, answer accomplished.
He paused a few moments in silence to let everything sink in. “You hungry? I can make some soup. I think that’s probably all your stomach can handle right now.”
