And tips for coming out. Personally, whilst I am aro-spec, I only came out as asexual to my friends and family for personal reasons so my personal experience is coming out as asexual. Honestly, the biggest tip is to expect questions. A lot of people don’t get it at first and that can be frustrating explaining your orientation over and over again, but point them towards the appropriate resources and let them read up about it so they can get it. Here are some more tips for coming out as ace, but a lot of these do carry over to coming out as aro:
