I’m really bad at explaining unfortunately and I’m still working on the style in my own way so please bare with me.
The brush I use is just the default sai brush for lines and colour. Nothing special. I’d recommend the default pen for line art though. I just like to work a bit messy.
I learnt mostly through trial and error and studying Tetsuya Nomura’s art. The KH style consists of thick and thin lines. I usually use heavy lines and add thickness in the corners or where shadows would be.
Don’t go overboard unless you’re trying to go for The World Ends With You art style which is similar but thicker especially around shadow areas.
Eyes are usually bold with thick eyelashes at the corners.
Their anatomy is slightly exaggerated. Most of the characters have very small wrist and ankles but big hands and feet. Some also have smaller waists or bigger shoulders than others depending on the character’s physique.
