urgh why must allos have people throwing themselves at each other before they’re satisfied that they’re in love

aziracrow kissing “properly” wouldn’t have legitimised their love for each other in any way it’s been 6000 years it’s SO MUCH DEEPER THAN THAT

(this is not directed at people with legitimate criticisms of the finale just some i’ve seen only complaining about the lack of “proper” kiss)

i don’t want aziracrow to kiss in season 3.

if i had the time i would write an essay entitled “we should just kiss like real people do” about the fact that aziracrow did not need the kiss to be cannon, and how this is shown through the fact that the kiss is messy and bitter rather than romantic.

the one time they displayed behaviour ‘typical’ of romantic relationships, it was wrong because they are supernatural beings who do not feel in the same way as most humans. the kiss was a last ditch effort from crowley to get aziraphale to stay, the only way he could think to express his feelings because that’s what the humans that they’d spent so long around did.

but it didn’t work.

as we’ve seen from the rest of the show, they did not need such behaviours to show their feelings for each other, at least not to the audience.

whether you headcannon them as aromantic/asexual or not, it is impossible to erase the fact that they aren’t human, so will not act on their love like humans, and i feel like further kisses would undermine that.

i feel like we've "aros can still date" and "aces can still have sex" and "it's a spectrum"-ed ourselves into an ecosystem where a character has to look directly into the camera and go "i do not experience any romantic/sexual attraction under any circumstances and i have zero interest in dating/having sex at any point in my life" for people to even consider the idea that they might be anything other than romance or sex favorable. it's like people don't know what to do with a character who just doesn't want to date or fuck with no wiggle room

GOD im so PISSED about the rise of 8 episode tv shows that get cancelled after 1 season like NO you don’t GET IT give me the christmas episode, the halloween episode, the vacation episode, the bottle episode!! give each character a solo ep where we get to dissect their entire psyche!! give me comedic moments and filler GIVE ME TIME TO LOVE THE CHARACTERS

i haven’t seen anyone talk about how throughout the show, jinx’s hallucinations are chaotic, messy, and oppressive, yet while in prison her hallucinations of silco and the crystal seem … pretty normal? or at least much more realistic and low-key

it really emphasises just how defeated and tired she is - her old hallucinations reflected her anxiety and adrenaline, as well as her inability to let go of her childhood, whereas the silco hallucination is fuelled by pure despair, and to some extent more maturity

and to see that after au powder is just… so heartbreaking, we have a total juxtaposition of what could have been vs the reality and it’s absolutely soul crushing
