13.04.2026 I realized I might be in ace spectrum. Now I'm trying to accept that and understand myself better.

• I'm genderfluid and I use any pronouns but I prefer they/them

• I'm from Europe, English is not my first language

Asexuality is a spectrum and I'm in the middle.

I'm not even sure if I experience sexual attraction. Probably not but what if I do but I just can't recognize it? Idk its weird. Anyway I'm constantly feeling not enough as ace but also not enough for being allo.

I'm struggling with accepting my asexuality but it's still good to know that it's a thing.

I mean I knew about asexuality for many years but tbh I didn't know what it really is. I just thought it's that someone doesn't want sex or just lack of libido. Moment I realized what asexuality really is was... weird?

I felt good, not broken for the first time in years. But also like shit, especially after my (ex) bf broke up with me after coming out.

Anyway I wish I knew I'm ace sooner but at least now I can say it at the beginning of relationship not after two years lol

that's A LOT of people. they all know because I have identity crisis and I overshare a lot so yeah... anyway I'm not planning on telling anyone else. they all know I'm struggling. well my ex doesn't because we don't have contact anymore. exept my therapist everyone are supporting. oh how I love my friends <33

I'm writing this down now to remind myself that the reason Asexual visibility is important is beause, some people exist out there that do not know you can be horny without wanting someone.

It took me SIX YEARS to fully grapple with being ace because I hadn't a clue in hell what sexual attraction even felt like. I didn't even know there were different attractions!

I only knew I was Aro because I had to ask how falling in love felt like. And even then I had to research it. It kept sounding so similar to the platonic feeling I felt for my friends, yet so distinct that it was driving me nuts. Till I finally figured it out.

So yeah, spread ace (and aro) visibility because a heteronormative society will completely blindside you to the finer details of general attraction. It focuses so much on he who, that it buries the what, and erases the why.

It's so annoying. I'm not sick. I'm not less human. I'm struggling with my identity. I can't accept that part of me and people being acephobic are not helping.

my therapist is wrong. she said I'm using asexuality to escape fact I can feel sexual attraction. that being asexual is easier than working on my bpd. she's so wrong. I wish I was allosexual. I hate fact that I might be ace. I was escaping from this for like 5 years. and now I'm finally trying to accept that. but she's not making it easier.
