"Not an expert at all, I just grew up in the country is all. Small town and all that. The only reason I got into Nyu is because I graduated top of my class." They laughed softly as well and nodded, "yeah it's awesome. The onion rings are great."

“Yeah it’s called a coup. Like the phrase being ‘couped up’ that’s where it comes from. Because there’s really not a lot of space in those little things.”

“Well then, people should make bigger chicken houses then. I don’t really think it’s fair if the have to be all squished in adn can’t be comfortable. Just cause they’re chickens”

“Oh… that thing” he said with a small laugh. “I just didn’t know that thing had a name. I thought it was like… a chicken hut or something”

“Yeah it is pretty great” he grinned. “Like I said, I’m not an expert about writing, I don’t know about what writers block or anything. Not like you” he laughed softly.

“I’m not an expert in writing, but I’m pretty sure that’s not how it works” he laughed softly. “Taking a break gives your mind a chance to relax without thinking about the same stuff over and over.”

After paying for his food Alec wandered over to sit opposite Ace, smiling dorkily. “Well I think most things are better than writers block. Which is why I keep telling you to take breaks.”

“I think that sounds good to me.” he nodded, smiling at the other. “Aren’t you glad you decided to leave your room?” he teased.

“Thanks” he smiled when the door was held open. “Well lets get onion rings and fries, I think that’d be great”

“I won’t, it’s kinda important so I won’t forget” he laughed softly. “There’s great. I’m craving onion rings”

"Okay cool.." ace nodded a little as they walked up to the building, opening the door for the younger boy before going inside himself. "Onion rings sound great honestly."

“It does look freaky..” ace laughed softly. “I’m a sucker for scary movies though, so if you go I’ll definitely protect you..you can hide at the scary parts.”

“Good” he grinned. “I need to talk to you about something later” he said suddenly, looking up at Ace and smiling awkwardly. “It can wait till after dinner though”

Ace nodded in agreement, “I suppose we are…I hope something good calcium from this though. I hope I didn’t say anything to upset him or anything yanno?” Ace nodded again, “yeah I really did like him, but I can’t do anything about it now. I think I’m just going to write…put myself into my writing and all and just focus on that.”

“I’m sure you didn’t. I mean, even if you don’t get what you want with him, you can still be friends. It’s better than nothing. At least then you still have him in your life. Since it’s obvious that’s important to you.” Sam smiled sympathetically, understanding Ace perfectly in this situation. “I think that might be a good idea. It’ll distract you and for all you know, it might even give you inspiration.”

Ace: wrote a short story about a guy who stayed up eleven nights in a row and on the twelfth night he died. I called it 'Twelve nights' and wrote it in Shakespearian style. Parody of Twelfth Night.
