So Taemin found out what the male’s name is. Taemin thought for a moment if Rebels had worked with Rhys before, but he couldn’t remember. But, there was a chance the composer did. Taemin found it more interesting though that he had never seen the composer around and there probably was a reason for that. Though Taemin wasn’t going to ask that as he may find out sooner or later. Plus, he was sure that being a composer wasn’t easy work so there was the reason for not being seen around as much.

“Pleasure to meet you Rhys. I think you’ve worked with Rebels before but my memory isn’t the best right now,” he answered and took a bite of his sandwich. The male continued listening and spoke when the composer was finished. He was still clearly amazed how he had never ran into Rhys before. “Seriously? You’re the one who wrote that? I would had never imagined that it was you. It’s a really good song you know.”

rhys nodded, “ah, yes. rebels. i’ve definitely worked on one of your songs, no doubt about it.” he shrugged. by now he thought he’d composed for every group ace had, he’d grown to expect that he’d composed for everyone at least. it was rare that he hadn’t. “it’s a pleasure to meet you too.” he replied, nodding to the other once more.

rhys let out a slight laugh, “you wouldn’t have imagined it was me? what’s that supposed to mean?” he questioned. he knew sometimes his soft looks and delicate speaking didn’t make up with producer rhys. but that was all in the fun, he got to stay a little mysterious this way. it was a nice arrangement.

daeun usually didn’t leave the studio under any circumstances, though today seemed to be an exception. with her stomach growling every other minute, she cursed at herself under her breath for not bringing in any sorts of snacks with her into the room.

feeling famished, she’d gone out to a little restaurant around the corner, nearby the company. ten minutes in and her food was dumped in front of her quickly, which she was grateful for. 

daeun was in the midst of digging into her late dinner when she heard someone peep up in front of her, her eyes darting up. at first, she had no recognition of who he was, bits of foods still on her lip. licking them clean and wiping her mouth with a napkin, it suddenly hit her that it was rhys, one of the company’s composers that she’s heard and seen through mutual people. “oh, hello! rhys, right?” she offered a friendly smile, stopping herself from demolishing her dish any further with someone in front of her.

rhys stared uncomfortably as the other recognized him. he’d grown to expect that no one would ever be able to put a name to his face. even after he’d met people, after a while they’d grow to forget who he was. he didn’t talk to people outside of work and because of that his face was easily forgotten by staff and idols alike.

he nodded, staring down at his food. “uh - y-yeah. i’m rhys.” he replied. he was used to explaining who he was, and feeling the burst of pride when he explained he was one of the top composers and producers at ace. but he didn’t get that when someone recognized him, and part of him was uncomfortable with this change of events.

Taemin was in the practice studio earlier, but when hearing his stomach growl at him throughout practice he knew he needed something to eat. Usually he would ignore it, but hearing the growls was interfering with is focus.

He went to order a sandwich and a bottle of water. He figured that might be enough before he decided to practice once again. Which may had been in a couple of minutes or however long it took him to finish the sandwich.

As he ate, he saw someone sit besides him. Taemin didn’t realize this as he wasn’t picky of who sat by him. Plus, he got along with people really easily. It was no trouble for him at all. “Hello,” he greeted them back. Taemin didn’t know who this person was as this was his first time seeing them around. Well, Taemin was going to meet somehow new today. “I don’t think I’ve seen you around here before. I’m Taemin. And you are?”

rhys was expecting not to be recognized. normally when he actually introduced himself people realized who he was. it was a situation he was used to, though somewhat he liked it. there were no pictures of his face on the internet, he kept his privacy in tact. and he liked the idea that no one knew what he looked like or who he has. no one expected ace’s most acclaimed composer to be the way he was.

rhys nodded, “i’ve probably heard of you, and i’ve probably talked to you too - just not directly.” he shrugged, looking down at his food, taking a bite of it. “i’m rhys. i’m a composer. you may have heard of me, if you’re and idol i’ve probably written a song for you. if not, you’ve probably heard a song i’ve written. ‘s just no one knows what i look like.” he shrugged.

for the first time in what felt like years, rhys wasn’t stuck in his studio. it was strange for him to be out of there, but he needed some food. after ordering his food he looked around the room, scanning for somewhere to sit. he shuffled over to someone he thought he’d recognized. 

though to be fair, no one ever really recognized him in return. he wasn’t the type of composer to work closely with the groups. normally he communicated through a middle man, because of that barely anyone knew what he looked like. he didn’t mind though, and for people who weren’t idols, the mighty rhys yoon basically did not exist 

he looked towards the person he sat next to, “uh - hello.” he spoke nervously, knowing the other wouldn’t recognize him
