hey hey HEY, i’m h and this is my baby august and we’re SO EXCITED TO BE HERE AND WRITING WITH YOU ALL. let me tell you a little bit about this creature, so you can get to know her better.
name: august teller nickname: auggie (only her father + very close friends call her this) age: twenty-five occupation: evidence tech — basically, august works for law enforcement. she gathers the evidence at crime scenes, processes it, analyses it and keeps it safe until it’s ready to be used in trial education: high school diploma, bachelor of forensic science big three: sagittarius sun, taurus moon, cancer rising ~
bio:
august was born in los angeles california, and it really was where she believes her heart lies and lives to this day. she loves the ocean, the sun, the sand — sushi burritos. she was living a joyful, complete life despite the fact that her mother passed away when she was quite young, leaving her to a single father with absolutely no idea how to raise a daughter. so what did dear ol’ daddy do? he spoilt the heck out of his little girl, giving her whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted it. august is still incredibly close with her father, and while she pines for a childhood that included a mother and several siblings, she appreciates everything he’s done for her given his circumstances.
in fact, she was so impressed and appreciative of her father that she wanted to follow in his footsteps and become a pharmacist — only her plans changed when she visited her dream college and was swept off her feet by a criminology student who had absolutely no idea that the wide-eyed girl existed. her crush had her switching her path to forensic science instead, and she found that she enjoyed it all far more than she would have if she’d stuck with getting her pharmD.
her father’s inability to say no however, has stuck with august even as an adult because it’s incredibly difficult for the girl to process a ‘no’ or any form of rejection. she fights hard for what she wants and can be quite persistent, to the point where she can be a little much for people. does this bother august? absolutely not. she’s well aware of her social shortcomings — unapologetically so, and is more than happy to delete a number if someone’s making her feel ‘less than’. she’s no stranger to tantrums, employing the ~silent treatment~ tactic and her lips seem as though they’ve been made to pout when she doesn’t get her way. but she’s also very quick to forget why she’s upset in the first place, switching from king brat to sugar-sweet so quick it could give you whiplash.
still a daddy’s girl, when august’s father decided to move back to his hometown of roswell, august tagged along — not wishing to be too far from the only family she’s ever really known. she has her own apartment of course, in the greystone complex to preserve a little independence, but she still bakes a dozen banana muffins every thursday evening to walk to her father’s pharmacy on friday morning — ensuring he knows that his little girl is still just that.
she can’t ride a bike, but august grew up riding skateboards. you’d think that the balance and coordination required to do so might translate to her day-to-day, but truthfully, she’s about as clumsy as they come. often times, scratches and bruises just appear on her skin and she has absolutely no idea where they came from. she’s a little goofy, a lot aloof — but takes her job incredibly seriously (which of course, you would hope so considering the delicacy of it all). she loves what she does, is kind and polite to (most) of her colleagues and is forever thankful that the beautiful boy she had become infatuated with on that fateful college visit had steered her in the right direction.
