recently completed a short but sweet Monster of the Week campaign that ended with my character, Blanche McDougal, fully accepting her new Monstrous powers and becoming a protector for the balance between Nature and Humankind. Blanche the Branch lives forevermore!
Some people seem to have trouble believing that things they've never personally seen or experienced actually happen, especially if those things make them uncomfortable or go against how they view the world. Some would rather remain ignorant than informed.
irl cackling while reading the Orthodox Christian Reddit thread on the movie coming out “The Carpenter’s Son” bc it was FULLLLLLL of bullshit talking about how “no other religion is targeted in such a blasphemous way” 😀
as a Celtic/Slavic Pagan: SUCK A FAT ONE BOZOESSSS!!!! Heard you have a LOOOOONG history of enjoying horror movies featuring blasphemous depictions of ********MY******** deities!!!!!!! I hope you enjoy the club pookies. ☺️
i completed drawing the logo for my new Etsy “ThreeMoonsHut”! I am gonna be offering tarot/oracle readings, rituals, spells, and more related to witchcraft! i love getting to do it in my every day so hopefully this is another way to explore that while also being flexible for my other jobs 🥰

Shout out to the autistic who’s abilities have regressed as they’ve gotten older.
“You didn’t used to be like this when you were a kid.” I know please don’t remind me
"This never bothered you when you were a kid."
Yes it did. I just let it slide because I was taught that I'm "too sensitive" anytime something bothered me. But now I'm finally standing up for myself.
"You never struggled with this when you were a kid."
Yes I did. I just burned myself out in order to do it so I wouldn't be punished. But now I'm accepting myself enough to not force myself to do what I was never meant to do.
so called "free thinkers" when they hear they're reforming the dawnguard
of course growth is painful.
cells tear themselves apart to be more than they were,
how did you think, you’d be any different?
I think something a lot of other people can relate to is the way that you get so conditioned to discomfort that you stop registering it.
I remember sitting at the table with my family, eating dinner as a child. I’d try to eat, because of course I was hungry. But sometimes the flavor or texture was so repugnant that it moved into a category of Not Food.
“Two more bites before you can leave the table.”
“I can’t,” I’d say, trying to explain the impossibility.
But because I was a child they heard, “I won’t,” and made me sit at the table. I’d sit in dull agonized silence, bored and hungry for hours until bedtime when they’d give up. I’d hate myself for not eating and my parents for forcing me to sit there. The few forcefeeding moments ended in vomit.
They’d say, “If you don’t eat this you can’t eat a snack later,” and I moved past trying to communicate my discomfort into accepting that I’d just be hungry.
That state of affairs didn’t last, because my parents realized nothing could force me to eat so they catered to my palate, worrying they’d starve me. But the message stuck. If you can’t do anything about a situation, just accept the suffering.
A few years later my mother called me off the playground to ask, “Are you limping?”
I shrugged. My feet had hurt for a long time, but that was just the way things were now. My mom pulled my socks and shoes off and gasped. The soles of my feet were covered in huge painful planters warts.
“Why didn’t you say anything?!” She demanded but I could only shrug at her. I’d learned a long time ago that saying things about my discomfort didn’t matter, so now I had no words. Sometimes things hurt and sometimes they don’t. I simply accepted and did my best.
Now as an adult trying to learn to improve my own conditions can be hard. If I make food that I can’t eat I’ll force myself to sit at the counter still, full of guilt and self loathing, trying to will myself to eat it.
At first I needed my betrothed to gently take it away to present me with something I could eat. Now on my own I can usually admit that it’s not happening before too long and get something else, but I still feel guilty.
Laying in bed at night waiting for my betrothed to finish getting ready I let out a huge sigh of relief when they turned the lights off.
“Why didn’t you turn them off if they bothered you?” they asked the first time it happened.
“I didn’t even know it was bothering me until it was gone.”
Assessing my physical state now to see if I can improve it is something I’m still relearning but I’m relieved to finally have the space and support to do it.
Autistics often have decreased autobiographical memory.
Autobiographical memory is an individual's personal history. Things such as where you went to school, how old you were when you learnt to ride a bike, what year you graduated etc.
Autistics have more difficulty recalling these memories at all, have fewer of these memories, or find that there are disjointed episodic memories (memories of the event occurring) but bad semantic memory (the ability to store and retrieve the memories).
This can lead to a difference in how we socially share our own history and narratives and our own social identity. Autobiographical memory is important in letting an individual understand their own experiences, social ties and place in a group.
Memories may take on a third person view rather than a first person view.
This may also lead to difficulties in being able to recall any specific emotions to the events that have occurred.
BRO SAME WTF!!!! i thought that was just some weird thing with me but to know that this is a symptom many autistic people have makes me feel relieved xD especially the thing about emotions thing. people, especially when ive been in therapy, ask me "how did you feel from this?" and im just like. I forgor 💀
this is why autisms can infodump about one topic for indefinite periods of time, we use the empty space to store all our funky facts and then never talk about anything else for weeks or months

Nice brain.
Thanks. It has pockets.

Reminder: you're worthy of true, genuine love. ♡
"I'm autistic and so if I can do (insert thing) than you can too!"
Stop it.
Autism is a spectrum. This type of thought process ignores Autistics with learning disorders, intellectual disabilities, moderate to high support needs and many other reasons someone may not be able to do that thing!
This is not a superpower. This is a disability.
Be proud of whatever you can do at your level.
When are people gonna understand that autistic burnout doesn't require a day of rest, but a lifetime of accomodation in school and work. Like trust me, even if you gave me 3 months of rest, the burnout is still going to be there for as long as I force myself to do things I am not supposed to do.
