Drugstore Make-up Haul (all Walgreens)
(left-right)
Top Row:
Olay Fresh Effects Everything Off Wipes $5.49: When I bought these it was solely because I am addicted to Netflix and I am usually to tired to wash my face before bed. These have helped me to remember to do that. I feel like they are oily and leave a weird film on your skin. They haven't made me break out (yet) but I don't think this will be a repurchase. I would rather take the time to wash my face. Which, lets be honest, isn't a whole lot of time.
Ecotools Six Piece Essential Eye Set $7.99 +$1 off! : I use this every time I apply my eye shadow now! They are very soft and blend my makeup flawlessly. For such a cheap little eye set it's worth the price. Sure, they aren't as good as Mac or Sigma brushes but you definitely get your money's worth and more.
Revlon Lash Potion Mascara (blackened brown) $7.99: Definitely won't repurchase. It clumps up on my fine lashes and it's just not working for me so far. Unfortunately I purchased this for a cheap everyday mascara and it just wasn't worth it. I would much rather use my Benefit They're Real mascara and spend the extra buck to replace it once I run out over this stuff.
Real Techniques Stippling Brush $9.99: I love, love, love Real Techniques. They have awesome brushes for an affordable price. I own nearly the entire line of these brushes and I use almost every single one everyday. I am excited to try out their luxury brushes. If you haven't tried Real Techniques brushes do it now! Run to Walmart! Buy them out! They are THAT good.
Bottom Row:
Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Pallet $9.99: This is originally why I went to Walgreens (and came out with all this crap). I have only used it once and I would sum it up in one word: okay. The pigment was just, okay. It didn't impress me too much but I do like this pallet. It's nice and cheap but it doesn't have the pigmentation of the higher end pallets which doesn't bother me considering I only spend $10 for 12 eye shadows as opposed to $40+ dollars. I would repurchase this just because of the price. Plus I really like a few of the shades.
Maybelline Color Tattoo (Bad to the Bronze) $6.99: BUY THIS NOW. It is comparable to Mac Paint Pots and a much cheaper alternative. I've only bought this about a week ago and I've used it more than a few times. The pigmentation is "on point" and it doesn't crease as long as you prime your lids enough. Will definitely repurchase.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick (pink blush) $4.99: I do like Rimmel's Lipsticks. I mean Kate Moss' line COME. ON. It's just perfect. I needed a lighter pink shade so I went for this. I promise I will wear it occasionally. But the amount of lipstick I own disgusts me... Not sure if I would repurchase this exact color but I will repurchase this lipstick line.
Rimmel Exaggerate Full Color Lip Liner (east end snob) $5.99: Got this color to match the lipstick I mentioned above and it's not even close. That's the only problem with shopping in the drug store, NO TESTERS. But I will still use this with other shades that I have to match this liner. I can assure you Rimmel has some of the best drug store liners. Right behind Nyx in my opinion. Would definitely repurchase-maybe not in this color BUT I do own a lot of these lip liners from Rimmel.
May Boxycharm 2015
(Boxycharm is a monthly subscription box that costs $21. You will receive 3 full size items totaling near $100. I love Boxycharm, even more than my Ipsy bag. I suggest you give it a try at least for a month!)
This month I received:
Eslor Chlorophyll Lifting Mask (full size) $38: I have yet to try this one out. I did read a few reviews online and it seems to be pretty well liked. It is a face mask made of natural milk protein, seaweed extracts, plant extracts, and minerals. This mask is supposed to tighten and firm the skin by enhancing blood circulation and diminishing fine lines. I will keep you updated when I have a chance to use this product. We have surpassed the price of the entire box in just this one product!
NCLA Nail Lacquer (full size) $16: I tried a little swatch of this on my nail. Unfortunately I received a nude pink in last months box so this is a little bit of a bust for me. Good news is it's very pigmented, you may even get away with one coat. And who doesn't need more nail polish! (Probably me but I will take what I can get).
Bellapierre Cosmetics Kabuki Brush (full size) $29.99: This brush is kind of small. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I think I will try it out tomorrow (or tonight) when I apply my powder to set my foundation. It is extremely soft but also dense (I know that's hard to explain through text). I am overloaded with brushes but again-who doesn't need another makeup brush? (Again, me but I am excited for this one)!
Doucce Click Click Lipstick (full size) $24: Okay, I think this might be my FAVORITE thing I received in this box. They sent me a dark pinky-nude color and it was what I've been looking for in stores for MONTHS. I swatched it and I was soooo excited. Then I tried it on my lips and I was even more excited! It's so creamy and wearable. I've only had it on for four hours but so far it hasn't moved too much. This one, I am extremely happy with. Plus the packaging is so sleek and beautiful.
The Beauty Crop Lighting Crew Highlighting Cream (full size) $16: This highlighting cream seems pretty awesome. I swatched it on my hand and waited about and hour to wash it off and it didn't smudge much. It does have a bronze tone and I personally think it would look beautiful around the eye area. If you are pale (like me) it might look a little too dark for the cheeks. I do want to try it out as a cheek highlight to see if it will work with my skin tone. I think it will be a beautiful highlight and as far as I've noticed I can tell a little goes a LOOOOOONG way.
Box Total: $123.99
