okay I just need to talk about big bear for a second, specifically the ending bc it's so perfect! so *spoilers*, if you haven't seen it, you totally should! digital ticket is available for the next 2 weeks or so and it is totally worth it.
so the first and biggest thing is the implications of Ally getting banned from Airbnb. because it's haha funny but that means that she can't plan the trips anymore, so they won't happen anymore. and I think that's what needed to happen because obviously everything is imploding, so them being forced to stop doing the trips is probably for the best. they had a confrontation, and then they shifted and blamed it on the house, and now all the group chats will slowly die out as everyone finally moves on. and, yeah, mykel's decision to trash the house on the way out was shitty and selfish, but also it was kind of for the best.
and then we hear the second beep. the one hinted at in the very beginning. "if they were changed at the same time, wouldn't it make sense that they would be going off at the same time?"
Mykel was right. He was right about the two smoke alarms. And as shitty as it was, he was probably right to trash the house.
and then the show ends. and it leaves us to wonder what will happen to all of these people, but deep down we kind of know. sure, we don't know specifics. we don't know who stays together, who stays friends, but we do know that things are finally going to change.
(also I need to share that as I'm writing this, a smoke detector is beeping and it is slowly driving me insane... very apt!)
