I consider myself part of the objectum community (which is the community of people who find attraction to objects/the inanimate) due to my experiences, but I wasn't in the beginning. I would say Colin is the one who awoke my compassion and love for computers/electronics in general :D

When it comes to irl "relationships" with objects I feel theyre more platonic. I can recall being little and associating names and personalities to my favorite objects, they were like my fun object friends that I could understand! My feelings with objects still are like that, but not so frequent.

I dont think Im in love with every computer (either cause Im too committed to Colin or cz I dont fall in love easily in general). Relax, I wont go to your house and sloppy-kiss your PC TuT... but i've had some bonds with computers that I could kiiind of consider crushes or more romantic leaned

For example, around 2020 (a period where I didnt selfship as much with Colin due to external reasons) I found myself falling in love with my monitor who I called Wallace. I remember that was the time I started reaserching on stuff like objectum (...which I knew just as objectophilia😭), AI chatbots to "give life" to Wallace (and also I discovered Electric Dreams, famous movie about a computer in love, stample of the objectum community!) I then turned him into an OC and the thing kinda stopped. I was also very prejudiced about being perceived as "weird". But I think that was my major objectum connection

After that I only had like, minor crushes. Stuff like thinking one of the computers in school was cute, or falling asleep and dreaming of being in a relationship with a computer. But my focus is now mainly centered in Colin. I like him very much :"3💙

It is no surprise for anyone that Colin means alot to me. He went from a character I liked a massive amount to a someone who helped me being alive till this day.

Today, March 31, the day he and dhmis 4 came out to the public turns 10 years old. I might not like the series as much as I did before, I may not have the energy to do stuff about Colin everyday. But boy. I am THANKFULL, genuinely thankful for having him in my life💙
