Hello, and welcome to my master list! Thank you for finding interest in my blog! This will be pinned at the top of my blog organizing all my information, and will be updated and edited as needed. My blog is primarily focused on my interest of The Hobbit, and The Lord Of The Rings.
I am also actively taking fic requests, so leave idea/requests in the comments or in my asks!

Shire Summer Festival prompts 2025 (in the works) - Tell him to stop touching you, Thorin's Prized Tomato, Oblivious Runs In The Family
Fanfic idea that's basically just The Hobbit but is constantly being interrupted by Thorin, who's reading it to Frodo and commenting on everything his husband got "wrong".
Him grumbling "Of course there's a whole chapter about how he escaped the wicked creature with clever riddles but us fighting hundreds of Goblins and slaying a good deal of them, mind you, gets only a paragraph."
I was doing some writing warm-ups and thought this one was very nice, so I rounded it out. I was using the prompt Dancing.
800 words / Bagginshield.

Dancing at Dawn
“Didn't feel like joining the dancing?” Thorin stepped out of the great hall after he saw Bilbo leave the end of winter celebration and found him sitting in the grass just outside the gates.
“I’ve never been much of a dancer,” Bilbo laughed. “We don't dance like that in The Shire. I just wanted a moment to enjoy the quiet. The sun will be out soon; I’ve yet to see it crest so far east.”
“Would you let me join you?" Thorin asked. "I’ve not had the time to watch a sunrise since our journey."
“I can hardly tell you where you can and can’t sit in your mountain.” Bilbo teased, patting the spot next to him.
“It’s your time I ask for, not the seat itself,” Thorin replied, sitting down and pulling a pipe from his tunic, but Bilbo put his hand over it.
“I’m enjoying just taking this in as it is. Dwarven pipeweed is…” Bilbo’s words trailed off.
“Potent.” Thorin provided, setting his pipe aside. “Harsh, abrasive. Overwhelming.”
“You’re just putting words in my mouth now. It’s perfectly fine on a regular evening, but I don't want to remember the smell of pipeweed when I think back on today.” Bilbo sat back on his hands, looking up at the stars that would be gone in an hour's time.
They sat in perfect, compatible silence for half that time. It only felt like moments with such a beautiful view. Freckles dusted across Bilbo’s nose that twitched like he was trying to work something out. Pointed leaf-like ears that he knew would fit perfectly into the curve of his palm if he had permission to touch them at all.
“I-” Bilbo started speaking, then stopped and scrunched his brow. He was shaking slightly but made no move to pull the shawl closer around him. Whatever he wanted to say was not able to make it past his lips. The air changed, the ease left, replaced by some great thing he couldn't see.
“Will you dance with me?” Thorin stood up and held his hand out to him. The frustrated look on Bilbo’s face melted to warm confusion.
“I can't dance, remember.” Bilbo took his hand anyway, and he used it to pull him close. Despite not knowing how to dance, Bilbo’s hands fell on his shoulder, allowing Thorin to take the lead.
“You don’t have to. Just follow my movement, or stand on my boots.” Thorin took a step back, pulling a surprised squeak out of the hobbit in his arms.
“My feet are quite a bit too big to be standing on your toes.” Bilbo was not as surprised as they took the next step. He led them through a simple four-step dance.
“Then just trust me.” Thorin tightened the hand on his waist and picked up the pace with every revolution, adding in a step here and there until they turned the grass beneath their feet into a stage marked by their movement. “You pick things up fast for a hobbit that can't dance.” Even as a young lad, had he ever sounded so joyful as in this moment, dancing in the almost dark?
“You’re a good teacher.” Bilbo laughed, giggling every time their pace ramped up, his hands always going back to their original place, trusting time and time again that Thorin would be there. He was, and he would be.
“Do you truly trust me?” Thorin said, spinning him.
“I- well-what did you have planned?” Bilbo faltered and missed his next step, but Thorin swept him into the next one without letting them miss a beat. He gave him an amused arched eyebrow look as he waited patiently for his answer. “Yes! I trust you,” Bilbo relented.
He led them through the usual steps of the dance, letting go of Bilbo’s hand so they could part and come back together, but instead of him letting Bilbo put his hand at his shoulder, he dipped so he could put his hand at the small of his back, naturally forcing Bilbo to put his hands around his neck. They had a clear view of each other's faces as he spun them a few times. There was never a more perfect chance to gaze into his soft hazel eyes and watch the joy pool inside of them illuminated by the shine of the stars.
As if Arda begged to join in, the sun bloomed across the horizon, casting them both in hazy orange light. When he put Bilbo down, neither tried to untangle themselves
“I want to stay here…forever…if I’m allowed,” Bilbo breathed, the warmth of his still slightly winded breath meeting his own.
“As if I have ever found it in me to deny you anything.” Thorin breathed, cupping the side of Bilbo’s head and kissing him with all the care and reverence a dwarf like him was capable of.

I hope you enjoyed! I'm working on a small Nwalin project currently, but these two never leave my mind. They're my greatest comfort.
