An important PSA!!
Spiders don't hibernate. There is not a single species of spider that hibernates. Not one. Instead, they practice diapause when it gets cold out. This is where the spider's metabolism slows down a bunch and they stop growing. It's not a big sleep. If you make this mistake in Spider-Man fanfic ever again I will appear in front of you and hit you with a pool noodle a bunch of times. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
Iruka: Naruto, remember when you said you weren’t going to meddle with my relationship with Kakashi?
Naruto: No, that doesn’t sound like me at all.
hello this is your google account. did you know that you are trying to log in. to. your google account. would you like five emails about how you logged in to your google account.
furthest we've ever been
imo, between kakashi and iruka, i think iruka would be the one more likely to "struggle" with coming to terms with his sexuality. mostly because of hang ups about continuing his family name/ideals of masculinity/public opinion etc since he was/has been/is so entrenched in konoha's domestic affairs/public life. which isn't to say he doesn't come to accept it, but it takes him a while.
on the other hand... kakashi pretty much burned the bridge of public perception when he was a kid-- and not only that, but the majority of his life, up until his 20s, was too much of a giant rollercoaster of misfortunes for it to really matter to him. like. his father killed himself and left him orphaned, his teammates died (one by his own hand), then his sensei died when the village was destroyed, etc etc etc. you know the rest. just war and anger and isolation and grief and missions requiring a weapon rather than a person and guilt. i feel like he realized he was gay as a teenager and was more like "this means nothing to me" until he mellowed out in adulthood and then it was more like "ohhh right i forgot about that"
Ummm she's literally sensitive :/
Kakashi : "Would you stab your significant other in the leg for 10 million ryo?" What kind of question is that?
Iruka : Exactly! You stab me, and then when my leg gets better, we buy a big ass house.
Kakashi: And if you can stab me too, then we'll have 20 million.
Iruka : Good thinking.
Imagine being one of the dwarves who survived all the way from the fall of Erebor through to its reclamation. Like, life is good in a prosperous kingdom- oh nevermind a dragon took it all and killed a sizable chunk of the population. But the royal family is still alive and they’re gonna lead you to safety! Under their lead you set up a new home in Dunland.
Wait, hang on, the king is going to Khazad-dûm despite everyone telling him it’s a bad idea AND he’s only taking one other person. Maybe it’s a scouting mission? No, never mind. He went inside and got killed so now Prince Thrain II becomes King.
The new king is rightfully outraged and calls a war, which most people are on board with. You enlist to fight because that was your king and you’ll follow this one too. It turns out to obliterate your population again, even spelling the end for the younger prince. But you’re people make a new home in Ered Luin!
Now the king is losing his mind and goes off on an expedition to get Erebor back that he never returned from so his weird behemoth of a son who smashed his way through the orc army using brute force and everyone’s pretty sure he’s autistic takes over the throne. He’s actually pretty good at it, even if he does act a little immature.
Oh, all of a sudden HE wants to take back Erebor. And he gets twelve idiots to go with him, including his nephews. Wouldn’t that eliminate their branch of the royal family? Nevermind, surely HE can survive it. He’s even got a wizard on his side!
A year or so later of nothing, you finally get news that Erebor is reclaimed! It’s thanks to a hobbit? Everyone makes their way to their kingdom, their home, and the first thing they see is their big, stoic, kind of brash king who up until now seemed to hate physical touch sitting on his throne with this hobbit on his lap and he is SMITTEN.
Good for him, though. It’s kind of odd he’d go for someone so hairless, besides the abundance on his feet. He always was different. Plus, this hobbit saved your kingdom and seems like a nice enough guy. They actually balance each other out nicely!
chin hatake & kohari umino. in their youth.
I like the idea that Kakashi inherited almost everything else from his mother except her appearance. -maybe long limbs though (I would imagine Chin to be around 175cm)
the internet seems like a distant dream
whatever we are on rn is not the internet. It's ads
The bubble is nigh.
Rookie Jounin: So, what, now I’m just supposed to do anything that Umino does? I mean, what if he jumped off a cliff?
Kakashi: If Iruka Sensei was to jump off a cliff, he would’ve done his due diligence regarding the height of the cliff, the depth of the water, and the angle of entry, so yes. If you see Iruka Sensei jump off a cliff, by all means, jump off a cliff.
Rookie: You jump off a cliff!
Kakashi : Gladly. Provided Iruka did first.
