so, I usually never post on here about my own personal thoughts. everything I do in here is strictly reposts and my little comments on those, but very light-hearted and fun. but with this season finale of The Pitt, I just had to share my thoughts.
I personally, really, really enjoyed it. I know everybody has their gripes about it, but as someone who has felt like Robby has felt, it honestly felt like a hug. I think slowly Robby is beginning to realize that he matters to the people around him even if he doesn’t necessarily feel that way about himself. His conversation with Jack really stuck with me. Like yeah, we all have our stuff, but there are people here that want you and need you.
His moment with Javadi also really stuck with me, mostly because it’s something my dad has said to me, “I think you can do anything you put your mind to.” I honestly had a lump in my throat from that moment on to the end of the episode. But it shows he really does think highly of Javadi and wants him to succeed and Javadi does kinda seek his approval a little bit.
I don’t think Samira needed to apologize, but I did really like their conversation. Kinda was a little lackluster given Supryia’s exit, but I think it again highlighted that all of the residents & students really do care about Robby’s opinion and how he views them. Especially because he’s seen them grow and honestly has invested time and energy in them and their progression as doctors.
That C-Section scene tho! shoutout to the SFX team!
But, what took the cake for me was Robby & Baby Jane Doe. Oh my WORDDDD 🥹 it honestly felt like everything he was saying to her he was saying to himself as well, especially when he said there’s so many people for her to love down the line and everything was gonna be okay. I really do think he’s gonna end up fostering that little nugget.
And the last scene of everyone watching the fireworks just reeling from the day and the love and loss. (I need to see an edit to The Pitt with Under Pressure by Queen on my TikTok neow.) & Al-Hashimi breaking down in her carrrr. Sepideh Moafi, you are coming for that Emmy!
And to top it alllllllll off Mel & Santos doing karaoke to You Oughta Know??? THAT’S HOW YOU END A SEASON.
