Dips got some leather pants as a gift. They fit too big on her, but they’re pleasantly snug on me!

13: Sad Boy

I didn’t feel very well waking up this morning. Lil sniffly with a headache. Here is a sad boi

12: Critters

Dips drew this one, just a group of furry palls! I traced over it again to make elements darker. We got a cute bunny! A kitty with the floofy tail! And a sleepy not dead raccoon!

11: Birds

10: Crocodile I pulled out an old album that has a lot of emotional history behind it (for me at least). This Town Needs Guns - Animals. Every song is named after an animal on the cover of the album. I always thought that was a neat concept. Maybe I should do more shade based work. Cartoons that need a steady hand don’t suit me.

I’m really just average looking, but he makes me feel otherwise. And I love him for that.

8: Smoother lines

Playing with pressure sensitivity and working. I am trying to work out how to do outlines for cartoonish work

7: Where it started

When we first moved in together, I was hard at work on my studies. Dips already had a sketchbook where she’d illustrate postings on Reddit. I had become her next muse and I was incredibly flattered by the expressive work.

6: Bed Time (Fire and Ice)

Dips is a very warm burrito/mummy when she sleeps. Chips wants to cuddle but would have a heat stroke.

5: The Mailman

So, Dips is very shy. I had been expecting a package and we heard a loud knock at the door. Dips’s immediate instinct was to run and hide in our bedroom as I collected my parcel. It was very sad and cute. This is her sketch of what happened.

4: Face Work

I’ve not drawn a face... in a long time, let alone with a digital tablet. Here are just some dudes. Some doodles.

3: Sad Kitty!

We tried coming up with a game where one of us makes a mess on the canvas and the other person tries their best to salvage it into something sensible. From some random scribbles emerged this uber sad Scottish fold kitty! Then the cat turned hungry and we lost it. Dips did most of the work for this one.

2: The Food Palls

So, I recently purchased a pen-tablet-thing for some digital art work I dabble in. The problem was that I didn’t know how to draw with a normal paper and pencil, let alone this dodgy new technology. Here is me drawing cute cartoon food characters!

1: The Adventure Begins

I’m a big fan of raccoons, to the point I’ve written an embarrassingly passionate song about them. Dips took the time to knock out a sketch of a raccoon for the thumb nail art and it turned out a little sassy? The only reasonable next step was to make it extra. Just extra.
