Was this someone’s idea of a prank? Was there a videocamera somewhere or a person taking pictures? 

Thinking quickly, he referred to what the training manual said to say.  “T-the only person stealing is y-you because of our low prices!”

N-no good, he felt her eyes still on him, warming his body temperature to a degree between not comfortable and get me out of here.

“P-please, the front counter is where we take orders, i-is no one up there?” The cup of iced coffee he was mixing nearly fell to the floor due to his idiotic stumbling, he wiped his hands nervously and drew a deep breath.

“I-I’m a little busy so if you take a seat someone will be with you.”

A quick sash of red burns his cheeks when he hears the woman’s voice, why was she here? Customers are supposed to take their orders at the front, what was she saying? Why him? All of his thoughts started to snowball as he broke out into a cold sweat and prayed that his words didn’t come out a mess.

“W-w-wah? I-you, you take your order at the counter. I’m just the coffeemaker. Don’t mind me!”

“P-p-please, take a seat and s-someone will come to take your order, er, I mean. Go to the front please!”

Pressure of Tension // Todoroki & Ailis

The afternoon sun was waning in the cloudy sky as if it were orange slice with syrup melting into vanilla ice cream. Well, more like a freshly cracked egg yolk in a white porcelain bowl. Whatever it was, it was making Todoroki a little sleepy especially since he’d been there all morning. Luckily he was tasked with making the drinks for customers instead of handling the front desk so he didn’t have to deal with anyone. It was a comfortable job and one that he’d been searching for his whole life, it paid the bills (with a little bit of odd-jobs here and there.)  

His train of thoughts was derailed when the bell on the front counter rang twice, usually it only rang once or never at all since a co-worker was at the front desk always. When the bell rang a third time, Todoroki drew in a sharp breath, turned around and broke out in a cold sweat.

Of course when it was his time to answer the call of the register, the customer would be a girl…

“H-Hi, welcome to P-pyon Pyon Manga Cafe! How would you like to drink- I mean, w-what would you like to drink?”
