Hi Tumblr, I have a new book coming out. Hope you are all doing well. <3
DC FRIENDS-
I will be giving away free copies of my new full-color, 36-page art zine FASHION FORECASTS at the Smithsonian Arts & Industries Building this weekend (May 28-29) for my upcoming group exhibition CROSSLINES: A Culture Lab on Intersectionality, curated by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center.
FASHION FORECASTS is a fun and playful visual exploration of utopian fashion predictions seen through an Asian American feminist cultural perspective.
In addition to the zine, FASHION FORECASTS will also be featuring actual outfits constructed by fashion designer Robbie Monsod and a video projection of all the drawings edited by filmmaker David Chien.
Come check out my multimedia installation and 40+ other artists displaying their amazing work! It is a huge honor to exhibit at the Smithsonian representing all the things that I care about: POC representation, intersectionality, and art institutions recognizing what is happening in the here and now in underrepresented communities.
Event is free and open to the public both days. Come early to grab your free copy before I run out!
