On marchys collar
I highly doubt marcosias would willingly wear a collar and chains with how devoted he is to being free, implying that, while he was capable of severing the chain, he couldn’t break the collar.
Given how the the red crown imprisons people in stocks (and we can assume the other crowns would follow suit as they are all crowns from the same family), we can assume that marchy wasn’t a prisoner, but a slave, which would explain why his last words are that he will “never be controlled again”
it’s not metaphorical slavery, it seems marchy was an actual, literal, chains and manacles slave before he broke free.
