Em Tee

Em Tee (b.1986) is an actress, author and performance artist from India. She considers herself to be part Duchamp and part Kim Kardashin. Ms. Tee is famous for her role in "Linvingston", a film by Dhanak Singh, in which she potrayed the infamous dancing girl of Mathura, Kadambari. Ms. Tee is a prolific writer in the short story and Novella genre with titles including "There Comes A Time", "A Leap of Faith" and "Cliffs Have Edges". She is currently working on "Isha: A Tell-All Tale", a film by Meenakshi Thirukode. The film has appeared in The New York Times, Artinfo and Hyperallergic and screened at venues including The Queens Museum, No Longer Empty and The Bogart Salon. Ms Tee currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.

One of Em's best friends Bruno, came to the limelight with his self titled documentary Bruno. Em made a special appearance with Bruno, who she calls her 'soulmate', during the Milan Fashion Week scenes. The scene, that has now been permanently deleted, had Em walk out from behind the curtain and confront the man who got a little rough with her BFF.  Bruno, turned around, and took Em by her hand so they could both walk down the ramp in all their glory. Em and Bruno are currently working on a short Novella capturing that 'moment'. An ode to their fans.

Tony Clifton - Someone who has been an inspiration despite being a man whose personality can be hard to love. Em first saw the star when her father played recordings of his appearences. Em's father is an avid VHS tape collector and recorder. He recorded Cliftons appearences while he was in school in America in the 70's.

One of Em Tee's favorite authors George Ranger Johnson. The two met in Tucson, AZ when Em was visiting the state on research for her book "Cliffs Have Edges". It's said that Nag, the hero of the book, is based on Ms. Tee's father who studied in Arizona in the 70's.
