Sorry if I'm missing the point, but personally I find subs who can express and stand up for themselves a lot less stressful to play with.

One of my biggest fears as a domme is accidentally hurting someone by going too far (hasn't happened yet but I still worry), so when a sub is less confident I need to check in more, "are you sure you want this?"
