I’m so excited to announce my cast list is posted and rehearsals are to begin next week for Carrie the Musical! I haven’t felt so settled in this project of mine since I’ve decided on it. I hope this feeling remains through out the rest of the process and that you all come out to see the final product (multiple times is preferable!)

I definitely consider you as one of my more supportive friends, Ryder. And you’re right, we don’t know each other that well, so we should probably change that, yes? One can never have enough friends these days, in a big city like New York, no less, and you’re absolutely a great one to have. Oh no, that’s not weird at all! I’d love to go, actually. We could gather a few friends of ours and make it a weekend getaway? It’d be really nice to have a break from the hustle and bustle of the big city, even if just for a short while. Oh god, please tell me they’re considering to film their own reality TV show or something equivalent. I’d subscribe to that in a heartbeat. 

That’s understandable, especially since your studio means so much to you. Have you considered asking a friend for help instead? Or at the very least, you could ask them to introduce someone they know. 

I’m down! I’m always up for getting to know people more. Whenever I first moved to NYC, I was convinced that my parents were going to set up some weird speed friend dating session so that their son wasn’t so alone. That tumbled me farther into actually making friends, let me tell you. Dude, you don’t know how badly I’ve been wanting to get a group together to go to Vermont for some snow action. That would be completely awesome, to be honest. I’m all in for that. If they aren’t planning their own reality show, I’m going to start mapping things off and just send it off to their managers or something. It’s drastically needing to happen. They went to a Leafs game today and I thought the entire land of Canada was going to collectively die with how much they were hoping for a Kiss Cam session.

I’m going to end up getting there, I’m sure. Until then, I’m stuck working 12 hours days with artists who are collectively getting better. That’s nice at least.

What can I say? Supporting my friends is my number one talent - aside from designing, of course. But thank you, Ryder. I really don’t know what I’d do without your support. We definitely are. Life can be… rough, sometimes, to say the least, but I agree with you. At least I know if I’m ever stuck drunk on the side of the road, I have someone to call. (Though, I don’t know in what scenario that would ever happen… you never know!) Honestly, I might take you up on that. I miss singing; ever since I graduated, I haven’t had any musical theatre classes to belt in. Now it’s mostly the shower, which is sad in itself. Oh, Ryder, we have to go see a show together sometime. There’s nothing like NYC theatre, which you’ve probably figured out by now. It makes me so happy that you feel that way! There are so many shows out there right now I’m sure you’d love. 

But that’s the best thing about being here - there are so many opportunities. And while it’s easy to flounder and fail, it’s even more satisfying when you succeed. You’re so right. 

Supporting my friends is a great hobby of mine. I’m not entirely sure if it’s a talent with the way I can handle things, but I’ll take it. But hey! Right back at you. I’m more responsible whenever it comes to drinking, but if I’m ever in need of a 911 Friend Call for help, it’s going to be your number I dial every single time. Seriously, just tell me whenever you need some time to really belt it and my studio is open for business for you. There’s nothing I love more than doing that, honestly. Sam comes by every now and then. Kitty has belted a tune or two. Rachel, Mercedes, Basically everyone has the invite and I swear I follow through! Wait seriously? I love NYC theatre, but I’ve never actually gotten to a show because I never know which one to go to. Gimme a list and I’ll get the tickets immediately. I gotta get the full NYC treatment and I feel like Broadway should be the first thing on that list. I’ve failed the city so far and I can no longer do that!

You have a point. We’re gonna make it in this city, Kurt. I mean I feel like our family’s would already say that we’ve done so, but we really are going to. Take this damn city by storm. You’ll become a fashion mogul and I’ll become a studio owner that actually has the ability to turn away some acts because I’m far too busy with my jam packed wait list.

Did you…step on a lot of legos as a kid? I find that it is a nightmare of moms, kids have a really hard time cleaning up after themselves without a lot of reminders and reinforcements. 

Oh good. I would hate that. We always have fun together there.

You’re a good friend, Rachel. I haven’t said it lately, but love you. You’re a rock in my life and I dunno what I would do without your ease into helping me with things like Lego sets. But yes I absolutely stepped on a lot of Legos as a kid. I always tried cleaning up after myself but then my mom would call me down for dinner and I would just barrel through them.

Honestly, it’s not because I don’t think I could survive. I’m just not interested in living in a world where everything is completely awful and showering becomes a difficult thing to be able to do.

Things have been going pretty good lately. I could find a few things to complain about but there’s no point in that.

That’s fair enough. I think it would be kind of cool to be in a zombie apocalypse... but only if I was certain that all my friends and family would be able to survive with no issues. And I don’t think that’s actually something that can be promised. Perhaps I’ll just live in a zombie apocalypse world in my comic books and video games.

Complaints are always healthy though. They get the shit off of your mind. I’m always around for a listen.

Well thank you for that. I try my hardest to make it seem like I’m good at being an adult and doing adulting kind of things. I’m not sure if it matters and I know no one asked me anyways, but you’re doing well in that category too. Count on me to bring you happiness to your holidays again! My parents were talking about going on vacation for the holidays and being out of town without me, so I was going to be a holiday orphan anyway. It’s only February, but I’m planning a nice little Friendsgiving at my apartment already.

If it makes you feel any better I didn’t get to nail down a lot of my history knowledge until I was in college and like, actively learning it. I majored in it next to teaching and it was the first time school ever made sense to me, so I figured that had to be a sign I probably wouldn’t suck at teaching it. Well, good to know you’ve got someone cool around, man, that’s always a good feeling. Hey, if I’m gonna be Lifetime movie worthy about something in my life I can’t say I hate that it’s gonna be because my students think I’m a decent guy. I try to do the best I can for ‘em, but I’m not like, a saint or whatever. I just do my best. 

I think so too, Ryder Lynn. No shit? I’d love that, dude, I seriously would. It’s been like, literally a million years since I’ve gotten to jam out to take the stress off, so that would honestly be incredible. 

That’s lowkey inspiring. I always imagined the best teachers to be like the know it all’s in school and not just like I was. College really whips people into shape, I guess. That’s admirable though. Do you find you connect with your students who struggle a bit because you understand them more? It’s cool having a cool girl around, definitely. It’s a new thing but I’m navigating through life easily, me thinks. You could be like... the male version of Freedom Writers, except the History version.

I can always send you the information as to where you can find it. It’s a small studio, but it’s doing really good as of lately. I’ve been jampacked schedule wise, but I have a couple openings coming up. Plus, if it’s for a friend, I’m always open to fooling around in the studio after hours.

I can’t do any kind of cool tricks, but it’s been a really long time since I’ve falling down while snowboarding. I’m actually thinking about heading up north to Vermont or something soon to get my last big snowboarding adventure out of the way before spring starts hitting and the season is over. I don’t want to pass on a complete invitation because that may be weird, but anyone is able to come with me! God, just thinking about those two make my head spin in fast circles. They always look so on beat and on track with one another, I literally don’t understand how they aren’t a couple. Have you seen all the Twitter jokes about them having a faux reality TV show? I couldn’t stop laughing.

It’s a definite option budget wise, but I always psych myself out. Hiring employees means passing out keys to the studio. That’ll always make me nervous.

I will, promise. And seriously, you have no idea how much that means to me. It can be so hard to get somewhere in fashion (in music, too, I’d imagine) so to have each other’s support is so important. 

Kurt Hummel, you have always been one of my biggest fans out there. I sure hope you know that feeling is returned as well. I feel like you and me are going to make it big in this world. We seem to have the focus, drive, and positive vibes swimming around to get us through anything - no matter the cost. Thank you though. If you’re ever wanting to dust off your singing pipes, you know where my studio is. I always have studio time for my friends. It’s hardly a job whenever a familiar face is in the booth, to be honest. I have something in common with the Mr. Hummel? I’m honored already. Alright I’m going to admit something... I never paid much attention to Broadway until I moved to New York City. Now? It’s fascinatingly brilliant.

I would say anything in the music, movie, fashion industry is the hardest to excel in, so it’s important to just always keep yourself humbled and level headed about stuff. Like I moved to NYC expecting for my studio to flunder and fail. Gotta believe the worst so that whenever the good times roll in, they’re appreciated a bit more.
