â do you even lift
acxhongbin:
âââ- â
Eunbi was the legit picture of any fourteen year-oldâs wet dream, and for half a second, Hongbin was worried he was going toâ no. Not today. He returns her smile with a closed lipped one, masterfully covering any other sort of reaction. Normally, heâd reject the offer to help someone, but Eunbi was one of the rare exceptions for a couple of reasons. âYeah, no problem,â he accepts, his tone is friendly. The soccer captain gestures for her to lead the way to the bench. He idly wonders how much she could lift, if it was anything impressive for someone who looked small. He supposed the righteous feminist in him would be offended if he admitted that he could probably spot her without breaking a sweat, but in a school filled with mutants, there was always unexpected surprises.
given that she was somewhat new to xavierâs, she still had to find a gym buddy since her current friends at the moment werenât exactly open to regular exercise, deeming the training sessions enough to keep fit. and now that she thought about it, sheâs seen this guy frequent the gym pretty often. which must mean that he doesnât detest the idea of regular exercise.
interesting.
she tries to keep in her laugh from slipping through her lips when the guy gracefully chokes on his drink, but clearly fails. she doesnât think much of his reaction anyways. âcool, thanks.â she says afterwards, walking back to the bench. she takes a moment to slide on the weightsâ 25 kilos today since she had someone to make sure the bar doesnât crush her windpipeâ and lies flat on the bench, hands gripping the bar. âjust two sets of ten reps for today.â she adjusts her grip a bit until it feels right and starts to lift, falling into a steady pace after two reps.
eunbi, being her usual self, decides that the quiet is too awkward so she clears her throat once sheâs nearing the end of the first set. âyouâre the captain of the soccer team, right?â she pauses for the final press, taking a drink from her water bottle and flashing him a grin. she lets her arms drape off the edge of the bench, slightly tired from the extra weight, but it was a good kind of tired so it didnât bother her. ânot a stalker by the way, iâve just seen you around the field a lot. yâknow... playing soccer.â
