*COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN* Colors by Carlos Nicolas Zamudio This is the pincoya. She’s a mythological creature from Chile—a water spirit who represents the fertility of marine life, although I’ve also heard of her as a mermaid who emerges from the sea to save shipwrecked sailors. She looks like a blonde woman dressed in nothing but seaweed. I haven’t seen other depictions of her give structure to her seaweed garb, so I was excited to design a unique outfit for her. I took inspiration for it and her body paint from a couple indigenous Chilean tribes. What do you think?
I've got some time, so let's chat!
Cover #3 for Arcana Royale.
My friend's Pathfinder character. She was a lot of fun with a vivid personality that made her easy to envision. Although my comic art nowadays is all digital, I go back to pen and paper for certain illustrations. I drew and inked her mostly on paper, then I finished her digitally.
Some raw inks of the first few pages of Arcana Royale # 1. I tried out some new techniques for the book.
The trade paperback is finally out! It not only contains the full story but also my concept art and some production notes.
Here's a taste, and I'll post more soon~

Arcana Royale #1
My latest comic is finally out today, and I'm so proud!
"Hudson Tremaine is a high-stakes gambler who has won big in her career, but made a lot of enemies along the way. When she gets embroiled in a new, and mysterious tournament named the Arcanos Mysterinos, however, she realizes that she may have bitten off far more than she can chew: her rival players are demons and demigods – and she's playing to save the world!"
I'll share some more art in the coming days~

Meet me at SOFA here in Bogotá, Oct 13-17! (It’ll be my first con since the pandemic!) This is an alternate cover for DETONATOR #1 made exclusively for a print run for SOFA. Drawn by me and colored by my better half Carlos Nicolas Zamudio, who’s the artist on the comic. DETONATOR is an indie comic created and written by James Parrish and drawn by Carlos Nicolas Zamudio, with colors in subsequent issues by Douglas De La Hoz.
The num-si-pode. There’s a myth from Brazil where men who loiter alone at night by town lanterns are approached by a beautiful lady in a ghostly white dress. She asks him to light her cigarette, and if he tarries to pull out a match, she suddenly grows so tall that she’s able to light her own cigarette on the lantern before she devours him. Apparently the myth was born from a fear of the then new technology of gas lamps. This is a piece for my husband who may or may not be designing a slew of playable Pathfinder races based on South American mythological creatures. He’ll color her in the future.
My main design for Lionelle, my genderbent Sir Lionel from Arthurian legend and one of the stars of the webcomic I’m planning to launch in the next year. She’s both a knight of the Round Table and a princess of France. Befitting her status, she has a rather extreme personality, which I hope shows through! I think I might take a break from uploading designs for a bit, but I’ve still got a little more of hers that I can share later. Yes, I did a lot. I couldn’t help myself. What do you think?
A design of Sir Lionel of Arthurian Legend, or, as in the comic I’m preparing to launch in the next year, Sir Lionelle, the only lady knight of the Round Table. There’s a lot more to her design I’ll share later. What do you think?
Lionel is one of my favorite Arthurian characters, and I cannot wait to share my version of him. I have big plans! Are there any other fans of Sir Lionel out there?

Purification.
Design inspired mostly by Armstreet’s King’s Guard suit. It is gorgeous.
A timelapse of my latest illustration. I just learned how to record them. What do you think? Should I post more of these?
