Idc how long it's been at this point just adaptJulie and the phantoms into a 5 book series with accompanying albums from the original cast give me SOMETHING I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE

Or alternatively: varian and the seven kingdoms style where everyone collectively agrees on a storyline based on what the OG creators have given us, 1-3 people write full length fanfictions fleshing out the entire story, and then those become the standard for the entire fandom and all other fics, one shots, and AUs are essentially rooted in those fics

I have a particular distaste for fandom merch that's just "(insert character here)'s outfit, but as a hoodie/other clothing item" like it feels lazy and almost never looks good. There are some exceptions, and then some that only technically fit the category (ex. Superman or Batman t shirts that are the logo on a blue or black/gray shirt, but have no other features of the suit)

Like when I think of or design hypothetical merch, there are times I'll use inspo from a suit or outfit, but it's only ever inspo. That and putting a hero's logo front and center, but that's also usually accompanied by something else in the design

Maybe it's just my artist, sewist, designer brain but I don't personally care for it and if I had enough time, energy, and money to do so I would be making myself all the merch I've already dreamed of </3
