Anyone who tries to demonize Adam for getting tired of being worried and scared for a man he loved, who (apparently) had continued to put his career over his health and relationship, will be terminated.

Adam is a whole character and is not abusive for respecting Shiro's choice to take the mission, while simultaneously letting Shiro know what would happen if he prioritized his dangerous career over everything else again. (A career, mind you, that Adam himself is experienced in).

We understand that Shiro knew exactly what was at risk and the failure of their engagement falls onto both of them.
