"So here's my list of things I want to do on this camping trip. Take a hike up to the highest point, go to the lake and swim that deepest we can or go looking for wild animals. Which do you want to do?"
“This is where we have to sleep? No. That’s not happening.”
"I mean you're sleeping next to me -- so it won't be that bad."
“I still don’t get why I couldn’t bring my dog.” Noah mumbled.
"My thoughts exactly -- wait, I don't have a dog."
Elliot had been bouncing on his toes with excitement ever since he woke up early that morning. This was his very first camping experience and he was ready to make the most of it. The entire first day was just more than amazing. He couldn’t put it into words. He so wished he had his paint and a canvas to capture all the greens of the plant life and blues in the water and the sky. It smelled like wood and grass and fire. For the first time that day Elliot didn’t really have a smile on his face as he sat in front of the fire, his knees hugged to his chest. He was watching the tent he was meant to sleep in closely. As if he were trying to intimidate it, but he was the least bit intimidating. The french male had only been inside of it once earlier that day and he already knew he didn’t like it.
The other residents all seemed to be caught up doing something -- whether it was setting up tents, cooking or cleaning, everyone was doing something. Except one person that Adam noticed the moment he stepped out of arranging his sleeping bag. So without thinking twice about it, Adam made his way over and decided to stir up conversation. "You having fun yet?"
Stargazing | Open Para
Logan hadn’t been sleeping well lately, so the idea of trying to sleep in a tent with two other people wasn’t all that appealing. He opted, instead, to take the chance to go for a walk. In all honesty, he didn’t hate that he was there, he was glad to be away from everything that reminded him of the past week. He’d been feeling better about it all for the most part, but it was when he was awake and alone at night that things started to bother him. So, he had to keep his mind busy.
Figuring everyone else was asleep, Logan found a spot not to far from the campsite to sit down. He looked up at the sky, the stars were really quite beautiful and he realised he didn’t appreciate them nearly enough. After a few minutes of looking upwards, he started getting dizzy, the alcohol in his system from earlier still having an effect on him. “Ah, fuck.” He sighed to himself.
"You really shouldn't be out here--" Adam mumbled as he approached Logan from the side, "-- I heard there's bears." With a smirk on his face to indicate that he was joking, Adam decided to take a seat next to the guy. Adam only knew a fraction of who Logan was, but he didn't feel like a stranger when it came to interacting. On the contrary, Logan reminded him so much of his mother that he wanted to stick around and be a friend.
Upon realizing that the male was stargazing, Adam laid back and let out a rather long sigh. "It's crazy how silent the world really is huh? I mean being away from the city, the noise, the stress really puts things in perspective."
The brunette had been sitting down by a broken log for a good couple of minutes, back facing the campsite where everyone stood. She hadn’t heard someone come behind her and once their voice surprised her, it was the female’s instinct to turn around to accidentally punch the other person.“ hey! “ Sofia instantly took her hand back to cover her lips just as she noticed who was behind her. “ you don’t just come up to people behind them like that!”
"Hello to you too!" Adam exclaimed as his hand rubbed off the sudden ache on his arm. "I figured you saw me wave at you, I was literally right in front of you. And it's like you were in your own world." The male took a couple more steps and sat next to Sofia, with their recent interactions being odd, he decided to keep some distance. "You having fun?"
“it’s our day to cook and i kinda feel like everyone should fuck off.”
"Are you still gonna cook?"
“We get use of this lake for a week, so at least tell me you are planning to join me?” the brunette explained, as she began to pull her top off to reveal her bikini top. “I know we have beaches back at the apartment but there is a rope swing, even more bonus to jump on in.”
"Yeah no --- I don't do swimming in lakes," Adam replied, shaking his head as his eyes followed the ripples on the body of water. "And I am especially not jumping from that."
The night hadn’t fallen that long ago, as Mason grabbed his shirt from his bag and, trying to be silent so we wouldn’t wake up his tent mates, he exited. Something was hanging on his mind, keeping him from sleeping and he imagined anything would be better than just rolling around uncomfortably in his sleeping bag. He decided to walk for a little while, clear up his mind, and as he put his shirt on he walked towards nowhere. A few minutes in he stopped by the lake, not that far away from the campsite, which he could still spot far away with all the different colored tents. He let his hand run on the cold water, before he took a seat on the hard ground, moving away a couple of broken twigs. His gaze was locked on the calm waters that he hardly notice he wasn’t on his own.
Adam had been sitting near the water, enjoying the silent night and a cigarette. Being around too many people wasn't his thing, so while everyone slept Adam went out. It caught him by surprise to hear the sound of someone approaching. He stayed quiet, however, when the male didn't realize Adam was already there. It was probably too dark, and Adam was in fact sitting under the shadow of a tree. Causing too much noise or speaking up would startle the newcomer, so instead he let out a simple cough to let him know he was there.

“Anyone half awake could see how much you care about that girl.”
“ we’re closed. ” the brunette’s voice sounded as she heard the door to the bar opening, running her hand through her hair as she tapped her fingertips on the register, waiting for it to open, not raising her look until a couple seconds later to see who was coming in. she had been asked to close up things at the bar once again and sofia couldn’t say she wasn’t tired, she couldn’t wait to just get home, take a hot bath and just forget the busy day.
"Are you seriously trying to kick me out? When I'm suppose to accompany you home! -- Or what you expect me to just let you go home alone at this time of night," Adam replied sarcastically to his friend. Once he reached the bar, he grabbed one of the stools and took a seat. Resting his chin against his palm, he looked Sofia up and down. "How was work?"

“Glad to.” The blonde murmured, gently grabbing his face so she could pull him forward and kiss him. Her hand fell to his shoulder as their lips met.
As she moved closer, Adams hand cupped her cheek. For a second he let her taste sink in. There was the after taste from their cigarette earlier with a hint of mint. "So this was your plan all along," he mumbled, making sure their lips weren't off each other.
“ i am not a charity case. i don’t need you to offer to be my friend like i am some sort of loser. i am perfectly okay with being alone.”
"Um -- okay well that didn't go as expected. I didn't see it as a charity case, more like strangers going to friends. But if you'd rather not, then fine by me."
