She’s actually doing well! I usually have the loft to myself though, she always goes back and forth between visiting Declan and my dad and seeing me. I don’t know why Dec can’t just come here, I miss him. How are Drew and Mr. T?

That's good, she must be really busy going back and forth between seeing all of you. From Italy to NY (if that's where Declan still is) and back to Toronto. I can only imagine how exhausting that must be. They're doing well, my dad's been doing better these days, he's still taking mom's death pretty tough but he's doing better. Drew seems to be doing well too, he's not happy about the news I just gave him though.

Oh I forgot to mention! They have a skate park here! They've got so many things to do here I could never get bored even after I'm finished working

First day on the job training. CFB Edmonton is interesting to say the least, I haven't gotten a chance to really explore it yet. Me and the new guys been too busy getting "hazed" by the other soldiers, its nothing bad don't worry, just a little rookie initiation to the unit. I just can't wait to blow stuff up.

Oh! Here's something cool, along with the Canadian flag, they raise a LGBT pride flag everyday as well. Isn't that something? Although none of them know about me being trans yet, I been on T for a year so I guess its pretty hard to tell. I'm not complaining obviously.

Time for another departure. It was great being back home and seeing my fiance and my brother and my friends, I had the best homecoming so thank you guys for that. Now its time to get settled into my new home in Edmonton...that's so far away from home, much farther than basic was. Well here I go.

But I hear ya, I'm sure its much more comfortable working from your loft. But at least this way you can meet people at an office right? You're not working alone, its usually more fun with other people around I'm sure.

An increased role in Op HAMLET, Canada’s military contribution to the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti, has kept Canadian Army personnel busy.

The team from 5th Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (5 CMBG) is going beyond the traditional role of providing planning and coordination aid to headquarters by also making tactical contributions, helping to ensure security and stability in one of the poorest neighbourhoods in the Western Hemisphere.
