George wore his hat backwards for the same reason I won’t buy any of his official merch despite being a huge fan: we both are ashamed to be seen with Merced*s logos on us 😃
I want George to win the WDC this year, out of spite.
He should win and then immediately announce that he's going to a team that will appreciate him.
Not sure what team that would be, but I can dream.
The only real ones
Bro george is the people’s princess for real😭🫶
JANHOLGER LIVES !!!!!!!!!!
shared on holger’s instagram story, originally posted by dr.alexandra_dorobantu
Wdym Jannik is training with Holger??? 😭😭
Jesus fucking Christ
I have to say that I’m hopeful about George’s wdc this year mainly because of the medium you contacted
Oh bestie 🫂 I was reading again some of the things she said and the reference to the next six weeks (now 5!) is what intrigued me the most.
Especially these parts at the end are interesting considering what happened yesterday:
The things I emphasized in blue are very interesting considering that:
despite George stellar Friday and Saturday, the team decided once again to prioritize his teammate with the strategy and that failed spectacularly for them and most of all for the said teammate (which incidentally in the last few weeks has being saying some very questionable things about George!)
after the whole strategy fiasco he said sth like “we should have stick to our strategy and that’s something I need to talk with the team” so I can only hope the fact that they fumbled his P1 PLUS the absolute absence of support during the podium ceremony put things even more in prospective for George, made him realize the mind games they are playing, hence he can finally «step into the room he felt he did not belong to» and show his rage, fury, anger, whatever that is, but no more condescending this fucking team, no more defending them and absolutely no backing down!!
I specifically asked the medium for George to win the WDC, not for George to be the employer of the year or to be the happiest on the grid, and bc he never was in this situation before, he clearly needs to do things he never did before, just as the reading says, so if those things are standing his ground and tell his mf garage and team to get it together, so be it!!!!
In red is the part that scares me a bit, but I also know the situation with the team right now is horrible and it must change one way or another, so at the end of the six weeks period we’ll see what directions this words indicate 🙏🏼
"george russell will win the 2026 wdc" i say into a crowd of f1 fans. they start booing me and i walk off stage until someone in the crowd stands up
"she's right" they say
i look up to see fred vesti standing up and wearing an obnoxious amount of george russell merch
I know throwing darts at each others in front of the media it’s their intricate way of flirting and so on but I need Max Emilian Verstappen to shut the fuck up about George’ teammate bc 1) it’s not useful for the Russtappen’ arc and 2) now it’s still fun and games but the second he gets a competitive car (or some other drastic scenarios starting from next year) and sees his chances at podium or winning once again, rest assured he will not be so nice, so spare us this whole “father figure” pathetic thing Max and concentrate on your toxic marriage first 👍🏼
Today marks Jannik 76th week as world n.1 and I feel like it’s the exact period of time since I last saw him play 😮💨
As this guy emphasize here, once again George got zero useful info from the garage when most needed, while on the other side they were constantly updating his teammate about George’ pace, gap and anything else 👍🏼
I might as well pin this post bc this F1 season (and specifically Mercedes AMG Petronas) clearly wants me furious 24/7 😃
100 races.
not ten, not fifty. one hundred grands prix wearing the silver arrows race suit, doing the heavy lifting through a painful rebuild since 2022, and delivering some absolutely absurd consistency. and what does George get in return today? a monumental P2 that tastes like pure injustice, and a garage that looked like a fucking wake after the DNF.
"so you're not happy about George's podium?" of course i am. but i’ve been thinking about how bizarre and deeply frustrating this whole feeling is. because on one hand, there's this immense pride in seeing George finally back where he was born to be, shutting up everyone who spends their whole lives doubting his ability, and nailing an undeniable podium. on the other hand, it’s downright gut-wrenching to see just how blatant the difference in treatment is within that damn team.
and look, you don’t need to be an F1 pundit to know that the technical analysis of this weekend doesn't lie. George didn’t just stumble into this P2 through chaos. it was a proper build-up of pace, consistency in every single stint, and flawless race reading. actually, a bit too flawless, given he has to do his job at 300 km/h while playing pit wall engineer at the same time (honestly, it was embarrassing watching George spot the strategy of the cars around him and Lewis’s pace before Marcus even clocked it). and not to mention that while the Mercedes engineering team seemed completely frozen or running on an inexplicable delay, George’s mental telemetry was sharp as ever. so he simply doesn’t have the luxury of just driving the car like he’s on a sunday stroll with a clear head, just receiving info like certain others do lol; he manages the tyres, predicts pit windows, corrects his own team, and even with that massive overload, maintains a lap pace that borders on perfection... so yeah. it’s a fucking joke.
but just when you think it can’t get any worse, well, you remember mercedes exists and that their next step is always their worst. the "golden boy", the team's new "prodigy", retires from the race. is it a shame? yeah. is it part of motorsport? sure. but the reaction from mercedes, and from Torger especially, is enough to make my blood boil. they literally seem to have forgotten who actually finished the race, scored massive points, and fought tooth and nail for that P2 on top of putting in a masterful pole lap and setting the pace in EVERY single free practice session (and no, Kimi wouldn't have won the race even if he hadn't taken the DNF).
so yeah, the image of George celebrating a milestone podium in his career virtually alone, without that massive crowd of staff cheering at the pit wall fence, without the energy of a team that actually values the driver bringing home the results, says absolutely everything about mercedes’ internal politics right now (and i’m not saying it has to be like that, but mate, let’s be real, there was ZERO visible celebration or support outside of those ridiculous social media posts where they pretend they’ve got his back). and Torger’s reaction? ooh, give me a break. it’s always that same clinical apathy whenever George shines, a massive contrast to the sheer euphoria or over-the-top drama that happens on the other side of the garage. George’s effort has become an invisible obligation; the new ''star'' glimpse of pace is divine genius. funny, isn't it?
honestly, it’s exhausting being a George fan and watching this. he has to do twice the work to get half the applause and public recognition from his own damn management. he held the fort during the car’s worst years, and now that he delivers one of his most mature, cerebral performances, the garage energy is absolute bin fire because their eyes are always on tomorrow, never on the incredible driver who is saving their asses today.
anyway, disappointed but never surprised.
i know the team won't do it for him, but i hope he knows that we will. so, congratulations on your 100th race, George. you deserve a team that celebrates your podiums with the same intensity you use to carry them on your back.
the last all British podium was in 1968 and all of the of were/become wdc. the person who was 2nd during that podium won wdc that year too
WHAT A GOOD ANON SHARING THIS BEAUTIFUL FACT TO US
I’ve seen enough: they are clearly ✨fucking✨
